I bought this mannequin when I started my professional crochet braids journey because I needed something to practice on that resembled the type of hair I would be styling on a regular basis. While it's difficult to match every hair texture this was the best and most manageable option for me. Now, as for shedding yes, she does shed a little but it is nothing that is hard to manage. The hair on the head is quality and easy to braid as pictured. I would most definitely purchase this again and all of the little extras were a big help when starting. Not to mention useful for when my daughter wanted to "help" me. If you're on the fence about making the purchase I'd say it's time to get off of it and just buy it. Trust me you won't regret it. I'm actually, also considering purchasing another one for my daughter to use because she seems to love styling mommy's doll!

It serves it purpose but the hair is very hard. Doesn’t feel good on your fingers at all. It had a smell for the first week but after a wash it went away.
