A lot of the times with this cheaper pre-fabricated furniture you get flimsy cheap material - but this company uses pretty decent stuff. It’s sturdy and looks good. Directions made sense, came with a few extra screws. My only gripe is the stickers. Be prepared to have residue on your bookshelf when you take these stickers off. ... show more

I got the 6 shelf option and it is everything I have ever wanted for a bookshelf. I put it together myself and from the time I was opening the box to arranging everything, it took 2 hours. The box is 100 pounds but even my husband was really happy with the quality of materials! The wood detail is sooo pretty and it fits my space exactly how I wanted. I do plan to anchor it to the wall but haven't had the chance yet. I only noticed 2 spots where some of the black finish was damaged but it wasn't bad enough for me to try and cover it. I did not want to pay almost $300 for this but used Christmas gift cards and am super happy with it. Not sure if I would have ever bit the bullet otherwise. ... show more

First off, this thing is very heavy. You will need 2 people to move the box or open it and move a few pieces at a time. Directions were good but it was a challenge to assemble because of the weight. The biggest issue comes when you start the second side. Putting the dowels in and then sliding the side onto the dowels was not easy nor is it enough support. Really wish we had put gorilla glue on the dowels for a better hold. There also absolutely needs to be more support at the bottom corner where the sides join. You will want to assemble it close to where you want it to be set up because it is too heavy and that cornet is too unstable to moce it much. The piece once complete is beautiful and sturdy as heck but a few little things would have made it so much better. ... show more

When its all assembled it feels sturdy and worthwhile. The materials are inexpensive (laminate on MDF) but the hardware quality is good and all the holes are well machined so everything lines up nicely and nothing breaks when you tighten. I'm happy with it.
