Item is easy to assemble, and I didn't swear once while putting it together. I lose patience with self assembly and usually get pretty angry ads scream at the directions because they make absolutely no sense. This was not the case with this bookshelf. The instructions are actually decent. And it is sturdy, with thick, heavy shelves. The metal is t chintzy either. I'm a pretty tall person, and I have to reach above my head to reach the top shelf (only about and inch above my head). I love the support structure in the middle so my partner and I have a definitive line of what part of the bookshelf is mine and what side is Thiers. I really do recommend this exact bookshelf. I'm glad I made this drunken impulse buy! Of course I was going to buy a bookshelf, but I literally bought to without reading any of the specs. It just looked so attractive! Now that it is in my living room, I'm really happy with it. Also, it comes VIA FEDEX BUT IT CAME FAIRLY QUICKLY. It took only 6 days from when I ordered it to when I got it. Not bad at all. So, yeah. This IRONCK bookshelf was relatively easy to assemble. When putting it together you need to make sure you have the supports facing the right direction or you could end up having to disassemble and reassemble the unit. The threads that accept the bolts to secure the shelves to the supports are on the underside of the shelves. The easiest way to attach the shelves is to turn the supports upside down. Be sure to place something under the supports to protect your flooring, especially if you have hardwood floors. The corners of the supports are sharp and could damage the floor. The shelves are very light and can easily be held up with one hand. I hand-threaded one bolt to the middle then one to each opposite corner to support the shelf while threading the other bolts. Do not fully tighten the bolts until you have gotten each bolt started. The holes line up pretty good but there were a couple that required a little finagling. DO NOT over-tighten the bolts! This unit only requires them to be snug. The metal used for the supports and material used for the shelving is not the highest quality. You can easily strip the threads if you over-tighten the bolts. Based on the material quality I don't think this unit is worth $200. Maybe $80 would be a fair price. It does look nice once assembled and holds a lot of stuff. I don't have a lot of weight on the shelves so I don't know how it would hold up if it were to be loaded with books. I recommend this unit if you are looking for a nice looking bookshelf or something to display your collections. ... show more

I purchased two of these shelves for my study. The shelves are extremely solid, the frame is easy to put together and gives good robustness, and the appearance is minimalist but pretty. Excellent value for the money. Moreover, when one of the shelves they sent me had an issue (it was shipped with a missing component), the company went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of and that everything was set right. If I need more shelves in my home in the future, I am definitely coming back here to buy them. ... show more
