I do my research before buying anything and I'm glad I did!! These booksheleves are absolutely amazing and secure! The shelfs themselves are actually screwed in instead of the typically pegs and there are little backing pieces to support the backdrops which adds more secure, and it's really good for your money being really affordable but sturdy, I love how functional they are with holding my books as I have a lot!! The color is so pretty I ordered Maple as I didn't want dark woods and it's so worth it!! The height on these shelfs are a good bit of height!! Easy to build, even with only 1 person. They give you enough screws/items. My one issue is they include a screwdriver but it didn't fit, but had a regular screwdriver and it worked. Fits a lot of books. Pretty sturdy without using the top hinge. Overall, would recommend. Color is great, but the stickers to hide the screws are too light. Would say worth the price ($68 at time of purchase) ... show more

I wanted a taller bookshelf to store my books in as I do a LOT of reading and this one looked like it would work. The price is lower than what I've seen on others and I'm not rich, so I took a shot at it hoping that it would be serviceable. I am very pleasantly surprised. First off, it arrived two days earlier than expected and was packed very well with the shelf pieces very well protected. The instructions are mostly diagrams with a small amount of wording, but were easy to follow - didn't run into anything that I didn't understand. By myself it took me about two hours to assemble - others may be a bit faster but I wasn't in a hurry and I've messed up things before and had to redo them. The pieces and hardware fit together well - no issues there. It is a taller shelf so I would definitely recommend using the tipover restraint piece included. The construction seems sturdy and I like the fact that the back pieces fit into grooves (not nailed on as you find in other lower cost shelves) and there are also bracers included to install behind the back pieces - first time I have seen that in shelves in this price range. I bought the black shelves and I love the look. These shelves are perfect for storing my books and I can see where they would look great pretty much anywhere. I actually liked it so much that I bought a second one that was also delivered early and had no issues with that one either. All in all, I would say this is a very good item and even moreso considering the price. Very satisfied with this product. ... show more

I'm pleased with this bookshelf. The color and size was as stated. Watch the depth, because it only stands one row of books with no wiggle room of putting some in front. I have chosen not to use the bolting-into-the-wall hardware provided due to renting. It stands pretty well with some shims but I would not use it around rambunctious kids. okay, to start, im incredibly happy with this. i think for the low price i paid, the quality was really nice. my last bookshelf, i was having to stack my books because there were so many. and my kitten would always knock them onto the ground. now, they all fit and look GORGEOUS. and while my cat has tried a few times to jump up onto these shelves, im glad it gave me the tools to screw it into the wall. so easy, im obsessed with it. ... show more

These are so nice that i bought them twice. Fits a lot of stuff on it so i think its well worth your money. The quality is good and im able to organize stuff really well in it. The color is a nice woodsy looking black and didn't have any issues with installation.

I ordered three of these for the home office. They were well used there until we moved right after. Now I have 2 in the living room and one in the master bedroom as the new office is too small. It took me about an hour to assemble each one. These are not heavy duty shelves but they are sturdy and hold alot of weight. They are not as deep as some bookcases and I would recommend using the wall anchors,included, for each one, due to their height. As you can see in the pictures I am loading them up with books,it will easily hold the weight of full shelves of books. These are good solid book cases. They look good separately or group closely together. The color is dark and rich. They are light enough when empty to move around. The dimensions are accurate per the advertised description. I tried to show the wood grain pattern in the cases in one of the pictures. I think it's definitely good value for you money. ... show more
