Really transformed my small apartment space. The materials are not premium, but the construction feels solid. I like the finish. Very simple, but elegant. The instructions are simple, but make sure you attach the shelf "columns" in the same direction! I mis-matched the combined #1 / #2 pieces and had to reattach the shelfs the first time. These shelves are great and are very sturdy. The build was slightly challenging by myself, but much easier with another individual. They look great in my household. They hold all my major Lego sets. I wish I had more.

Good size, I bought this for the dimensions and the weight limit indicated for each shelf to increase the shelf space for my personal library. I had looked around other stores before settling on these, while something like Ikea would have been far cheaper I was worried about the buckling/collapse of the particle board their furniture is made of. It was relatively simple to assemble on my own following the picture instructions provided. Not necessarily the highest quality of materials but it looks nice and holds the weight described (I have each shelf literally packed full of books, hardcover and paperback, and there has been no bowing or issues over the past 3 months I've had the shelf set up). I was happy enough that I also bought a different pair of shelves from the same brand for the living room plants. A happy medium between price and functionality. ... show more

Had to return this because it was damaged in shipping so that I couldn't put it together. Was very disappointed that the company couldn't send me the two parts that were damaged and I've had to go through the return and re-order process instead, but at least the return has been easy and it's even saved me a little since when I reordered, the unit was on sale. One other good thing about the return - This unit is heavy and Amazon made it an option for UPS to pick up the package from my house so I wouldn't have to figure out how to get the thing into my car and then to the UPS store. Being a single woman, that would have been a big challenge. Have ordered another shelving unit with hopes that it will be fine. One more note about this - I've ordered two other shelving units from this company and I like them very much. Nice design, sturdy, easy to put together, lots of room on the shelf for books and other items. Am really looking forward to getting the replacement one. ... show more
