Nice book case. shelves are particle board or MDF but are finished nice. Shelves also have threaded inserts so you won't strip out the screws. Powder coat looks nice and the welds look good. Give yourself an hour and a half to 2 hours to put it together. It helps to have help but I suppose it could be done by yourself. I used blue thread locker when assembling the frame. Probably not necessary but when there's this many screws I like to make sure it stays tight. It comes with an alan wrench but it was pretty cheap steel and I rounded it out after the 3rd frame screw. I have a set of alans and just used my own 3mm. It also comes with a flat wrench but again I used my own 10mm. It looks great and holds stuff. Seems solid enough to hold a lot of stuff. I sent a message to the seller about the shipping carrier. They responded right away and were real friendly. Good seller with a good product. ... show more

I bought two of these for my living room to house all my books and a few other odds and ends. This proved to be exactly what I was hoping it would be. It was easy to put together, though all the foam did create quite a mess. My carpet against the wall was not flat, so I had to put some wood spacers under the front to level them. Now they are super sturdy. You would have this problem if you have a hard wood floors etc. ... show more

Easy to assembly but expect to put so time into it. I am a 5 ft female and put this together by myself. The instructions wants you to put the whole thing together while it is laying on the floor but I knew that I would not be able to lift it by myself. I put all the metal support beams and the top shelf together then stood it up to put the remaining shelves on. Super sturdy! Looks amazing! Very attractive . Great large size. The directions could have been more clear . Took a lot of trial and error to assemble . The screws ddi not seem to fit …… we had the bottom legs attached backward .
