Wish I would have discovered this years ago! I live in Arizona and trying to keep anything cool from May - September is almost impossible. I can fill this with ice and cold water before I go to work and the water will still be cold 8 hours later. I prefer to use the straw that comes with it instead of the lid that you can drink from. This is very sturdy, easy to clean and works as advertised. I would highly recommend! ... show more

Love this cup! I took this on a trip right after I got it. It ended up sitting in a hot car for 5+ hours and it still had ice in it. So far I've only used the straw lid and while I know it would leak through the straw if tilted that far, I've not had it leak around the straw. I will definitely be buying more Iron Flask cups! ... show more

    • Amazing chill time but watch the flip top lid
I want really really badly to give this thing 5 stars. The number of times I’ve fallen asleep with an iced beverage inside and woken up with solid amounts of ice still in it amazes me. The only reason one star was removed is the number of times the closable lid has flung coffee drops at my monitor and laptops upon opening to take a drink. I don’t know exactly how it happens, but it gets frustrating to clean up little coffee stains all the time, and I’m just hoping it doesn’t get inside a keyboard or speaker hole and destroy something at some point. If I remember correctly it comes with a straw lid as well, and I might have to investigate using it more. I hope it allows similar chill lengths, but sometimes I need the full seal when I’m on the go, so the flinging lid has to be used at least sometimes. ... show more

So far so good. It is keeping my drink cold at least through the day. If you are using it for a cold drink, will keep with ice at least 12 hours, because of the straw, it is not leak "proof "but does have a nice tight fit. If you are using the hot beverage lid....it is leak proof....It easy to hang onto (nice texture), the best I have found so far. (I have tried 5 different ones.) ... show more
