These are my boyfriends favorite pair of boots. He talks about them all the time. He used to get them locally but now they are only available on amazon. He has owned a few pairs of these boots over the last several years. They last 1-3 years depending on use and water exposure. He has tried other similar boots but they never were right. I bought him a new pair for Christmas and he is already waiting for them to go on sale so he can get another pair. He says his feet are happy every day he wears them (and his feet always hurt).

Have been wearing for about nine months, almost daily. Mostly used on a wooded mountain property, so more than half the wear and tear is over rocks, mud, dirt, snow, etc. They also see general, everyday use such as going shopping, church, etc. So far, they are holding up very well, no signs of premature wear. The "knobs" you see on the bottom give the boot great grip in slippery conditions, but I have noticed some of the rubber that wraps around them to be coming off. It doesn't seem to be critical, but I'm sure the rubber was intended to stay in place for longer than this. Again, the knobs stay in place, but on a few the rubber than encapsulates them is rubbing off.

I <3 Red Wing Boots!, no inserts needed, padded tongue helps for a nice secure fit, sole is very comfortable.

Awesome fit, and comfort, BUT, the picture shows a regular brown, while the shoes showed up and looked like this [...] So while they are awesome, I was expecting a lighter color boot. Not a deal breaker for me, but possibly for some other people
