The necklace is absolutely beautiful, but I can't emphasize enough the beauty of the Mahogany Box that the necklace comes in. (You have the option to choose from the standard gift box and the Mahogany gift box). This Claddaugh Heart Necklace is 925 Sterling silver coated with 14k gold plate. The Emerald, I believe, is Moisanite, although my guess is ambiguous at best because in one part of the description it , it says the Emerald is a "Moisanite Emerald", and in another, it just states that it's a "created Emerald" . When I hear "created" I tend to think "Lab Created" . But a lab created Emerald is a big difference between a "created Moisanite Emerald , as lab created means ", real" . For this price point I think it's safe to say it's A Moisanite Emerald, at best. Regardless, it's beautiful and is stunning to see and wear. I would have snapped a photo of me wearing the necklace, but at the time of this review, I have a scar on my neck from a biopsy and didn't want to ruin the beauty of the necklace in a photo with my skin cancer. I wasn't familiar with Claddaugh before coming across this necklace, so I did my research and came to learn that Claddaugh Heart jewelry means Friendship (hands crossed), Love (the heart) and Loyalty (crown on top of Heart). I love this. I love that the chain is a nice long 18 inches and with the extender, can be 20 inches . It has a lobster clasp so it will be secured, no risk of it coming lose . Included in this gorgeous Mahogany Box is a GRA Card (Global Gemological Research Academy) warranty and Certificate of Authenticity. On the card is a QR code to scan to a link to register your warranty. Additionally, you get a GRA Moissanite Dossier that shows a chart with regards to the clarity , cut, color, symmetry, polish and shape. This necklace is stunning and is an absolute amazing deal. I would recommend for yourself or as a gift for someone else. Should it be a gift for your wife, there's a card included that starts with "To my Wife", and includes a touching message.
