I have tried different types of products for paper/file organization, to include filing cabinets, banker boxes, and fabric filing boxes. Filing cabinets are too bulky, and normal home-sized ones don't offer enough space. Banker boxes are spendy, and I don't feel cardboard is completely protected against the elements, especially when living in wet/humid climates. Fabric filing boxes are the least durable of these options, can't be easily cleaned, and the fabric is easy to damage. They are also way overpriced for what you get. These plastic filing boxes are so awesome, and just what I needed. They come in a pack of 4, and are a good size. File folders move with ease, something that fabric boxes sometimes miss the mark on, and banker boxes don't have. The lids close easily and securely. They evenly stack for closet storage, or even better for my purpose, they are easily slid under a bed. I got the black ones, which may not be as visually appealing to some, but I did notice it isn't the only colored offered. I didn't really mind the black option, and it was less expensive as well. The price on these is a great deal, and after having purchased and used them, I would have gladly paid more for such a space efficient, high quality, and durable product. 5/5 would recommend. I’ve ordered about 20 of these storage boxes in the last 2 years. I like them because they are clear, hold hanging file folders, and they are a great size for stacking lots of various stuff in the garage & closets. However, This time 2 of the 4 lids arrived cracked / lid edges crushed. Strange because the shipping box didn’t look damaged. I don’t know how I could get 2 more lids, and It’s a lot of trouble to return the order especially as I really need the boxes today. Otherwise, I have been very happy with all of the prior shipments and will order again if I need more. The price is a great deal cheaper than the local office supply stores. Also it’s hard to find these with clear lids which I prefer for ease in seeing what’s inside. ... show more

5-stars: the SIZE! It's perfect! Just a tiny bit larger than a Banker's Box -- and it's plastic instead of cardboard so it's more water resistant. ...BUT... 1-star quality. Thin plastic, corners of both boxes and lids crack easily during shipping. If you like the 4-pack and expect 4 working ones, buy two or three 4-packs with the plan to salvage 4 total good ones and return the other 8. They are great for storing things that aren't too heavy. Don't put books in them and try to stack them. If you're going to be using them to transport things, or stacking them, or putting heavier things in them, pass on these and just get the cardboard banker's boxes and/or heavier duty (and typically larger) plastic bins. It's a shame these are so delicate -- they have an otherwise universally useful size. ... show more

Figured I would upload a pic to show that not every one of these sent out is cracked to hell and back. They made it through the trip for me that said, they feel a bit flimsy and im not sure just how much weight they could support if stacked on each other for instance. They are semi-opaque. I love that they are square up and down so you’re not losing space on the bottom like with most of these kinds of boxes. I have bought many other organizer boxes from Iris and they have held up. These are the largest ones I have bought, I’ll update over time if they either fall apart or pass the yeah of time. These look brand new, no dirt or scuffs or anything indicating they are used or returned. ... show more
