Once it’s put up, it works great. The problem is it takes forever to put on or take off! All 4 of the connections to the table are high thread C-clamps. Turning the handles takes forever to give enough of a gap to get it around the metal skirt on the table and then closing it takes forever too. Considering the weight of this net, a piston-ratchet system or even a spring clamp would have held just fine. As it is now, I leave the net on 90% of the time and dread having to take it off. I play ping-pong at work and love it so much that I bought an iPong 300 and practice at home. The iPong does not come with a net so I bought this one separately. It took about 45 minutes to assemble but if you're good with this kind of stuff it will take you less time. The installation was fine. One thing I didn't notice once I had it set up and began using it, is that there is a little hole In the bottom of the net so that the balls fall out once they're hit. You are supposed to put a bucket or something under it so the balls fall directly into it and you don't have to gather the balls from the actual net, I didn't realize this so when I first started, aboue every other ball would drop through the hole and go all over the garage. I thought it was a flaw so I put Gorilla tape over it. before I realized what it was for. All that to say, put a bucket or its equivalent so the balls fall directly in there after they hit the net and you can just scoop them up all at once and reload. I set this up and tested it with multiple rounds of my ball machine and it worked great. It was easy to set up and is sturdy. I just kept the flap open and put a 5 gallon bucket bellow it and it worked great.

It's built great and works great at gathering ping-pong balls from most of your errant shots. But, ignore the directions and you will be frustrated.

    • Far Better Than the RoboPong net
My old Robopong net finally bit the dust. This one is far better in terms of containing the balls on the sides and high enough to keep balls from flying over the back. I should have purchased this one years ago. Great video on YouTube for setting it up.
