The media could not be loaded. Got this as a gift for my youngest daughter (Pre K) and she loves it. Her oldest daughter is 7 year old now loves playing with it too. The learning machine pronunciation is very clear and very standard, unlike some electronic products which are noisy and unclear. In addition to the standard pronunciation machine, there are an additional 80 pages of double-sided cards, which are rich in content and subject matter. Perfect for 3+ years old bought as a gift quite sure she would like and play & learn from and with it. This was a gift for my cute grand daughter who will be 4 in October. The item arrived fast and was packaged nicely. I've been using this with my niece and she has actually begun speaking more words. I think it's from playing with this. It's very interactive and you can listen and select buttons for the answers. The item is well made, I really think the crown on top is so cute and really stands out from other toys like this.     • This could be a great educational toy but it has a few flaws
It has a few flaws that keep it from being a great toy instead of a mediocre toy. It comes with 80 cards but no way of storing them - if your 3-6 year old are like my grandbabies these cards will be all over the house, bent, and dirty within a few days. If there was a way to store the cards in the back of the game or there was a case supplied for storage it would be a better product, in my opinion. Another flaw is the cards do not stay in place if the toy gets bumped and then they have to start over. The toy needs a way to secure the card being used so that this does not happen because we know most kids in this age group do not sit still. Another flaw for the younger ones in this age range is that they have a hard time figuring out how to use the toy. My grandbabies kept trying to touch the images instead of the corresponding colored button and they were frustrated when that did not work. Overall, this could be a great toy but for a few flaws. This is a nice educational activity for small kids, and, with a few changes, it would be perfect! (Too bad I wasn't in on the design!!) Pros: 80, yes 80 cards!! Lots to keep the kids occupied! Volume control (high and low) Battery operated (no waiting for a recharge, which can be painful!) Kids love it Cons: The cards could be a bit sturdier The cards could "click" into place better (mid-game, they often get bumped out- frustrating) It would be nice if there was storage for the cards on the back of the device (I had to put the whole thing in a Zip-Lock bag) The crown thing at the top of the device made it difficult for it to fit in that bag. ... show more
