So many choices on Amazon to buy a screen replacement. After reading some reviews on here I pulled the trigger on this specific seller. I wanted to replace a phone laying around (iPhone 12) and didn't want to spend alot to do so, however I didn't want something low quality. I am completely satisfied with this replacement and here's why. 1. Has a very great installation video. 2. Has the adhesive 3. The tools were great. 4. The screen doesn't even look like I spent $20 on it. 5. It doesn't really stick out. Here's some pointers if you go with this product. 1. I used a blow dryer to help with getting the broken screen off. It heats up the adhesive to help it come off easier. 2. The ring that comes on the suction cup is too thin and bends easily. I took the ring off my car keys and borrowed it so it wouldn't bend when I was trying to lift up the screen. 3. And lastly, do a good job of removing the old adhesive before you put the new adhesive in. I can only imagine some people having a bad experience trying to do this themselves and not cleaning the old adhesive out. I'm sure it will make a world a difference on how your new screen will lay in the phone. Good luck with the installing the screen if you're reading this. If you pay attention to the video and look at my tips, you'll get it done right.

This screen was great for the price. I usually get my parts from fixeZ, but I took the chance with this. It arrived well packaged and looked good. The screen quality was similar to normal repair site screens. Installation required removing the existing camera/top pieces from the old screen to install them on this. That part can be a challenge if you're new. I had issues with the touch working, and I started to think the digitizer was bad - unplug and verify your ribbon cables are seated well. Reboot the phone. It worked well afterwards, but I had to mess with it for an extra hour or two afterwards. I am not an expert and have only done my personal phones and family ones.

First off, I just want to say that I have done countless screen replacements and repairs and have not encountered a screen quite this poor in quality. For context, this repair was performed on a relatively new iPhone 14 Pro running iOS 16.1.1. The bad: I understand that it is an LCD panel, but my first issue was that the backlight is extremely inconsistent and has "hot spots" gathered around the edges of the display, primarily near the points where it attaches to the frame. The inconsistency is really bad, even for an LCD panel. The second issue is that, of course, this display does NOT support VRR or ProMotion, meaning that it is locked to 60hz. I verified this with an external testing setup which showed that the display panel maxes out at 59-60hz instead of reaching the full 120hz OEM display quality. Finally, the worst issue is the freezing/stuttering, greatly reduced battery life, and overheating due to the LCD backlight. With this display, my battery life was effectively halved and the touch responsiveness has a VERY noticeable latency. The freezing issue occurred for me after around 2-3 minutes of use, where the display would completely freeze and refuse to update the image until the phone had been power cycled, which would then repeat the freeze after another 2-3 minutes. It's worth noting that all of these issues were in fact caused by this display and the device was tested with other working displays to verify this. The cherry on the cake is the absolutely abysmal pixel density, with the panel having a noticably lower resolution than most replacement displays. There were lots of other small issues like the thickness of the panel preventing it from seating properly and the uneven bezel at the bottom of the display, but honestly, the major issues I listed should already be enough to dissuade anyone from buying this. The good: For the price I paid for it (around $40), it has pretty decent brightness and color. The darker colors are nowhere near being dark since its an LCD panel, but the brighter colors really do pop. TLDR: Even though I know it's cheap, PLEASE save your money and get a quality OLED panel or anything higher quality than this garbage.

EDITED: After the seller made repeated attempts to contact me to make right by my experience I feel obliged to update my rating for all their efforts. It's nice to see a company stand behind their products. I was pleased that this kit actually worked for replacing the screen though they didn't provide instructions for my particular model. It was easy enough to find general instructions for the process online and adapt to the contents in the kit compared to the videos I found. Even after exploring the phone's display and accessibility settings for getting the color to look as vibrant as my old screen I can't get this screen to have the same vibrant pop to it that my old screen had. It looks faded and washed out when I turn the brightness up and has a general dingy look to it when I turn the brightness down. Tried adjusting contrast and other settings. I can live with the above but this screen also produces ghost trails everywhere I press and swipe. They fade away after a few seconds but make it difficult to read and see content where my finger has swiped or pressed. I'm searching for a higher quality replacement which is turning out to be a lot harder to find than I expected. Even local repair shops don't seemed concerned with these types of defects. Talking with local shops there seems to be conflicting opinions on the necessity for the "True Tone" feature of the iphone which reportedly would require these kits to include additional migration hardware to copy values from the old screen to the new screen.

I broke the screen of my iPhone 7 plus during my efforts on changing the battery. My dilemma was purchasing any locked iPhone on eBay, or just the screen. There are other sellers on the market for just single screens, but when I saw this seller, the good feedback from over 2000 people, the efforts that the seller did to keep their customers happy, and the video on how to install the screen, I decided to give them a chance. I am glad I did, their product is great, it showed in my door next day. I used other videos from you tube as well, just so I don't do mistakes to replace parts on my iPhone as I go through. I took my time and was going every step on the way after looking the videos on my computer. I would recommend a magnetic pad for anyone who works these kind of projects. I placed a screen protector after finishing the job. It took me 3 hours, and I am good with these kind of projects, just was taking my time to avoid any costly mistakes. The most difficult tasks were detaching the camera from the broken screen, since it was very fragile, and I had to work very gentle. Reinstalling the little screws in the metal plates was a challenge too. The screen is as good as the new one. Not sure how long will it be so, hope the quality of the screen will remain so in the future. So far I am very happy with the product and it's quality. The screen is working as it should and is sensitive to the touch of my finger. Thanks again.

This was frustrating not because the repair is “difficult” per se (although it is involved, and it takes some time — it took me a good 45 minutes), but due to some very low-ball/corner cutting from this vendor: 1.) the main picture on this page includes the blue “adhesion” screen. It didn’t come with one. The main reason I bought this kit over the 10+ other ones that are available is because this one supposedly offered this. 2.) the video the vendor sends you has ads due to monetization on it...seriously? You decided to monetize your “how to” video?? So while you are watching the video, 2 adds back to back pop up that you cannot skip. Imagine if you need to rewind/go back a bit to see that key part...sigh 3.) the video is extremely slow in some parts (almost painfully) - which are the obvious parts, and then completely skips over a few key things. One concrete example that I can think of is at the end simply showing from a disconnected 2nd (single one) ribbon for the screen and the next frame of the video shows you the ribbon connected connected. You had to figure out which way to turn the cable (turns out by 90*) and how to attach it. If you have done this, easy, but I can see this really frustrating someone as the ‘easier’ way to attach it is without turning. The other one that was even more annoying was camera angle/zoom level of removing the ear piece/light sensor/camera module ribbon-attachment. This is debatably the hardest part of the entire repair, and it was some of the worst camera work. After that it resumes to nice camera work again showing it all put together...thanks, but not useful at all. 4.) The video does NOT move the camera module holder (white plastic piece that aligns the camera to the opening on the screen). Check iFix it and other videos for comparison. Even worse - the new case did not come with the camera module holder!! Without that holder, there is no way for the camera to stay in place as you move/shake/run with the phone. If it moves even a millimeter, it will no longer be aligned within the opening. If you check the alternative cases, the “quality” ones - the new replacements come with the camera alignment pre-built. This felt like yet another thing they cheap-ed out on. I popped the old one off the old screen and reused it. 5.) The tools are horrifically cheap. I know these are one time tools, but these were just “extra” cheap. To the point that the screwdriver started tearing by the last screw. The screen pick tore when cutting the adhesive after heating it up. I’ve literally never used worse tools. Every other screen/battery replacement “kit” Ive purchased to date has come with one-time/temporary tools...but they have lasted through the repair and are usually good for many more. Good thing I had nicer tools. One positive however is that the tools they included were at least magnetized. This I have to give to them, as most of the other vendors “cheaper” tools are not magnetized. I know it’s an easy to make them magnetic, but almost all skip it, so plus a point here! 6.) The kit did not come with replacement adhesives “bumps” for the speaker/light sensor/camera module. There are two places where as you remove it from the old case, there is an adhesive “bump” that stays behind. This would have been nice to include. Some other kits for the same price included it. Overall, it just felt like they cheaped out in every possible place. I would recommend going with a different vendor for your screen+digitizer replacement.
