    • The book was not in "new" condition
This review does not address the content of the book. Rather, it speaks to the condition that I received it in. I received three (3) "Dummies" books in one shipment, and two (2) of them were not what one would consider new condition. This book in particular had a 5" long scratch on the cover that could be felt with a fingernail. Also, the cover itself was dogeared on the top right (0.5"x1.5" triangle) and so were the first 17 pages. The first 10 pages had a noticeable crease. The next 7 pages had taken a bend, but there was no permanent indentation on the corner. The bottom right corner wasn't ideal, either, as it had been compressed and was no longer straight. Looking at the back cover, the bottom left had taken a bend as well, and that might explain the condition of the corresponding pages from the front. Plus, there were numerous indentations on the front cover as if someone was using it as a surface to mark something on top of it. Since I'm using this book as a reference, I'm not going to bother with an exchange since its contents are more important than its looks to me. ... show more

    • The book is well written and easy to understand.
I like how it’s divided up by subject and the index is helpful also. I have only just begun to read it, but I am impressed on how well it is written. Explanations are excellent

Great book. I have given away 3 copies to friends who had issues with their IPads. Yes, I even used it for a reference book.

    • Great guide for iPads
It's amazing the functionality you can uncover by reading these guides. I got this for my wife for an iPad I got her for her birthday and she is well underway with her tablet. I've had a few of these for other products and I can say, these are well done and worth the cost.

    • What is peace of mind worth?
The learning curve associated with any new program or device can be shortened by listening to the council of an expert. Though we build muscle through resistance, I prefer to choose which battles are worth my time and energy. In my opinion, the effect of learning a good tip lasts much longer than that of an expensive cup of coffee! ... show more
