I love this shelving unit! I bought it as an entryway display case of sorts for my bedroom. The product measurements were accurate and assembly with two people went very quickly. It comes with hardware to nail the back of the unit to your wall because otherwise it’s a bit wobbly. But I plan to remedy that with heavy books and decor on the bottom shelves. Bought this for my bedroom and was able to put it together on my own. One thing I will say is that it only has one support leg in the middle if you get the option with feet, and it makes it easier to knock down (I have a cat who likes to climb on things). It was an easy fix after I moved though, I simply took the legs off as well as the hardware they screwed into and it lays flat on the floor now like the option that comes without the feet. Really pleasantly surprised by this bookshelf. The packaging was excellent, the assembly instructions were clear and easy to understand, and all the pieces were well labeled. The screw heads being painted to match the color of the bookshelf was a nice touch. Assembly took about an hour, and the finished shelf is nicely sturdy and well proportioned.     • The 'Pear Yellow' Looks Like Maple Wood - Fantastic Shelves for the Price!
This is my sixth time buying these shelves, they are that good! A couple years ago I purchased the mint green and blue with the baseboard bottoms, but this review is for the 'pear yellow' with legs. Firstly, I'm not sure why it's called 'pear yellow' because the picture is accurate in showing a faux wood grain similar to maple. It looks fantastic! These shelves are incredibly easy to assemble and I have assembled them without any help. They only use a single kind of screw, the instructions are very easy, and when finished these shelves are wonderfully sturdy. Honestly, for the price, these shelves beat more expensive options from places like IKEA or other economy sellers. I was really impressed that now the maker is color dipping the tops of the screws so it matches the furniture (in the past the screw heads were hidden with little dot stickers that matched the furniture). I was really pleased with the legs - it will make vacuuming under them easy. If you're looking for some easy to assemble, pretty, sturdy shelves, do not hesitate to buy these! ... show more

Overall I really enjoy this bookcase. The directions were super clear and simple- which is great for someone like me who is not handy whatsoever. I usually have to do a lot of mental work to understand instructions but this was straight and to the point! I also love that they added gloves and a few other pieces for your convenience. I have built 3 bookcases and this has been the easiest by far. I didn’t use any power tools so it did take about 2 hours to put together, but overall i’m super happy with how it turned out! My only issue was that there was no preset holes for the backing, so I ended up just not adding in the backing. I was also super worried it wouldn’t be tall enough to fit my larger books but it fits everything perfectly! It looks great in my room and is far more sturdy than any other bookshelf i’ve bought!! ... show more

I absolutely LOVE this bookcase. I bought one a few years ago and liked it a lot. We recently moved and I needed more book storage so I bought three more! They are sturdy, nice looking, and easy to assemble. As an added bonus there was a very slight manufacturing difference between my first bookcase and the recent bookcases. I love the design and color of this bookcase, and purchased two for my daughter's playroom. I was pretty disappointed to find that a lot of the pieces have scratches and brown marks on them. I would've returned if this had been for anywhere else in my home, but since I know kids are going to be hard on it anyways, I kept it. I do think it's overpriced for the quality. $100 maybe, but $150 is too much for what you get. Pros: Color and design are pretty, unique, and aesthetic! The piece seems sturdy. Comes with wall anchors for anti-tipping Cons: Scratched pieces, screws showing everywhere (wooden dowels and cam screws would be so much better). The back pieces don't have pre-marked holes or anything to help line it up, which made it difficult to get the nails into the unit sometimes. Make sure when you put it together, you examine each piece for the best side to face out. All in all, it's fine for kids, but this wouldn't go anywhere else in my home because the quality is not there with all of the scratches and screws showing. ... show more
