This is my first time using anything like this and it was fairly easy to insert. The clips are a tad on the small side so I removed a star. It is artificial hair. It has some curl to it and is very bouncy! Photo is before and after- disregard the unwashed hair! It looks better with clean and pre curled hair. The “wire” is actually clear stretchy string (like the kind you would find in a stretchy bracelet.) It does tangle easily, so you need to handle with care. Overall, love it for occasional use.
