I bought this Amazon Fire HD smart TV for my dad. He's 85 years old and I wanted a nice TV for him. This TV was very easy to set up. And I am so happy with the quality. The picture is sharp, vibrant HD. The sound is excellent, there's so many channels dad can watch now, I just downloaded everything during setup thru my Amazon account, and set up Amazon prime movies for him and there's just so many free channels, plus local channels to download. I connected his TV to wifi and set up only took about 20 minutes. The Alexa feature is fun,great remote, and dad loves his TV so much he's all red eyed and exhausted from binge watching all his favorite old cowboy movies and army movies and just seeing so many cool choices to choose from lol. I bought this to place in a faux frame for my dining room. I use it to display photos through Amazon photos and for watching. It has a great picture, easy to set up, sounds nice and has any input I may need. Great spare tv.

I didn't have to enter anything (like network settings or wifi passwords) this connected seamlessly and easily with my account and I was ready to go in minutes. Happy with my purchase. Decent picture quality. It's just a standard remote with some convenient buttons like Netflix, the sound is great, especially since this is only a 40 inch. You won't need extra speakers. It can run a little slow, but I think that has more to do with my internet service currently. ... show more

Setting it up is so easy, even for me!!! Technology hates me but even I couldn’t screw this up!! Take it out of the box (which is no problem by yourself) Put the legs on it with a screwdriver. Hardest part of the entire process. Plug it into the outlet. Turn it on and load your apps onto it. Watch whatever you want. Ta-da!!!! Great sound. GREAT PICTURE!!!! Very easy to navigate. The sound, quality, everything is perfect! It took me a bit to get the feet on, but I don’t have proper tools! I asked for a delivery on a Monday since I’d be out of town, unfortunately it was delivered early and had to rush home to get it. Once I got home sack dab on the front was ‘SMART TV’ ‘OPEN WITH CAUTION’ left right on the front porch 🤦🏻♀️ also don’t know if the driver laid it down but I have a feeling it blew over since it was pretty windy. But the TV itself is amazing! Easy to connect all the apps and such an easy setup! Speed is a little laggy, but it’s only because I haven’t updated my router best purchase I’ve made! ... show more

The set up did not take long however it was annoying. Make sure you unplug/reset your router then plug in, turn on the tv and then begin your set up. After that, everything was quick and easy. It’s also definitely user friendly, better than any other smart tv I’ve used before. The picture/color is good quality. The brightness is good but I had to play with the settings to get the brightness I prefer. The only time my has glitched so far is when it storms or there are really strong wings and that not the tvs fault. Houses in my area are over 100+ years old and the power are not “updated”. We all lose power and internet. So the WiFi goes out, you have to reset the router and unplug and restart the tv as well. Otherwise it’ll go to the app, act like it’s loading and then kick you out/tell you to check your connection. I’m thinking of getting a bigger one and putting this one if a smaller room. ... show more

Well I have to say this TV was so nice when I bought the 75 inch version we went ahead and got the 40 inch one for the bedroom! This is a great TV and it is pretty much a LARGE ALEXA, we love the quality of the picture, the refresh rate is really good with games and movies. We love how even with our Ring alarm system it automatically pops up a picture in a picture to show the live camera feed so you do not miss anyone or packages coming by. This tv is well worth the money you should defiantly get one if you are in the market for a new tv! ... show more
