The cable is fine and does what it says, but be warned, the plastic casing around metal USB c connector is too wide and will not allow you to complete a full connection to charge if using an Apple FineWoven case on an iPhone 15.

I have a 32-inch 4k 144hz monitor and needed a way to carry that data from my M1 Max Macbook Pro 16. This cable does that, and it also carries the USB data from the monitor's built-in USB hub as well as charges the laptop with 18w (the max the monitor provides). I have also tested its thunderbolt capabilities and it works flawlessly for data transfer as well. If you have this use case and are okay with 3 ft or shorter, do not buy this cable, USB 4 cables can do the same thing over that distance. When I bought this, there was no 6 ft USB 4 cable on the market that could handle 4k 144hz. This cable, while expensive, works flawlessly. I have also used it for high-speed data transfer between devices and it is a lifesaver for that as well. It also works over windows and works with g-sync at the same time. Got this to hide my OWC dock + cables and have one cable running to my Mac. This does the job. When using an LG 27GN950 monitor with a DP to USB-C cable connected to an OWC dock, the display runs at 95Hz instead of 144Hz when directly connected to the Mac. Not a downside of the cable just thought it's worth mentioning if anyone has a similar setup. ... show more

I bought an external drive capable of 2000 MB/s transfer speed through a USB C 3.2 GEN 2X2 port. I bought a PCIe card that added 1 USB C 3.2 GEN 2X2 port to my PC. This PCIe card requires a PCIe slot of Gen 3 or higher with a width of X4 lanes or higher. The cable that came with the new drive was about 6 inches long. 2000 MB/s was confirmed with crystal disk mark bench mark. I tried a regular high quality 6.6 ft USB C ram pow cable which is capable of Super Fast Charging on my Samsung Fold 3, but only was able to hit about 400-500 MB/s. I googled best USB C cable because amazon reviews for that ram pow cable were in the many tens of thousands range and that review score failed me in realm of external data transfer speed. This Cable Matters Intel Certified Active cable showed up as one of the best possible cables for any USB C, USB4 or TB4 device. It did not say USB C 3.2 GEN 2X2 but I did not trust the other cables that did say that. This 6.6 ft cable is the REAL DEAL. 6.6 ft of glorious power and blazing transfer speed of 2066 MB/s externally! BUY THIS CABLE if you actually care about real maximum data transfer speeds. If you are one of those people that buy something that says 2000 MB/s and you never bother to run a benchmark, then go get a cheaper cable. ... show more

Updating my review; customer service sent me a replacement cable after I contacted them free of charge. —- The cable originally worked great and seemed sturdy relative to other USB-C cables I've owned. However, after less than three months, the cable failed and no longer charges my computer. The cable has no visible damage, so I can't figure out why it is no longer functioning, but back to an old (much thinner) USB-C cable that is doing just fine and costs a fraction of the price. I reached out to seller to see what support they can provide; will update here when they respond back to me. ... show more
