    • Machine works but LCD screen doesn't work right out of the box!
The spindle is true and straight and spins freely. The machine seems to be a good deal for the price. However, the screen or HD LCD by the spindle didn't work right out of the box. I reached out to Amazon customer service but it's been couple days and haven't heard from seller. You can use it without the LCD screen but it's kind of a bad impression to me, the customer, from the seller for not having a product work properly. ... show more

    • Buyer beware
This machine has potential to be a decent hobby machine but will require a lot of work. First, it came in rusty. Second, none of the axis moved more than 3 inches then would bind badly. Third, it's missing thrust bearings creating slop in the x axis. Fourth, the z axis lead screw was bent upon disassembly to inspect binding. Fifth, the R8 draw bar is metic and useless. I knew this going in and had a plan to fix it Sixth, all the accessories that come with it just throw away, there garbage. The good is it came fast, and was packaged well. After that here comes the work. Luckily I'm very skilled at fixing garbage. I knew there would be some work so this is what I have had to do to get where I am now. Completely disassemble and clean all the rust off of it. Remove the gibs and hand scrap the ways. The gibs were about .025 to fat which was causing the binding. After the grinding then stoning the gibs they fit and worked smoothly. After reassembly a noticed I still couldn't get full range on the z axis. I noticed a wobble in the lead screw on the z axis. I put the lead screw in my lathe and checked how true it was. Noticed the top section of the lead screw was bent about a tenth out of true. The lucky part is it is an exact copy of the Grizzly G0704. I've purchased a draw bar, couple lead screws and various thrust washers to resolve most of the issues. By the time I'm done the money I saved I should have purchased the Grizzly G0704 because I've put the money I saved right back in. The only reason I went this route was to capitalize on Amazons interest free for a year deal on it. I've asked for a partial refund from the seller and if I get that I'll upgrade my stars to a 3. Unless your ready to go down a rabbit hole I strongly suggest going a different route. ... show more
