Description

The TuffBlock Instant Foundation System is a lightweight deck foundation alternative to concrete. It consists of multiple floating deck blocks that sit on top of the ground and accept pieces of wood to construct decks, garden sheds, landings, pathways, raised walkways, cubby houses, dog shelters and more. Each TuffBlock can support up to 1,700 pounds and weighs only 1.5 pounds. They are designed to accept 1/2"-2" joists and bearers, 2x4, 2x6, 2x8 Joists, and 4x4 Posts. The TuffBlock system is unique because it allows you to build a deck that is as low as 6.5 inches off the ground, with no digging. The TuffBlock’s are made from recycled polyolefin material with an ultra-high UV rating. They are designed with a ventilated underside to prevent moisture buildup and termites. The TuffBlock system is the only block product that can be secured to the post or bearer to provide extra stability.

Lifesaver! This product saved me thousands of dollars! The floor of my 1800’s barn kept washing out. We removed all the old wood and damaged beams. My carpenter was going to put new support beams in and replace the floor running 10-20k! I was convinced I could put a deck floor in there using cinder blocks. After researching this, I found Tuff Blocks. I ordered them and they were delivered quickly. I put some gravel from the driveway into the barn, tampered it down and laid the Tuff Blocks out. With some leveling we got the joists placed and screwed in the floor boards. It was a couple day job. Very easy and cost me about $900 in materials. The beauty is I can easily unscrew it and pull it up if we have another flooding issue. I couldn’t be happier with it and I owe it to these fabulous Tuff Blocks! ... show more

Built a 12x10 studio shed using these things and it is rock SOLID. Did not have to break the ground or cut into my turf to do it. Would absolutely recommend for a shed, deck or anything needing a floating foundation. Not real popular out here on the West coast yet, it seems as no one had these in-store, but as a 'bored during COVID' project, these things took a lot of work out of what could have been a nightmare. 5 stars all the way. ... show more

Yes and my wife decided to build a deck on our own but we wanted to keep low to the ground. This saved us time and it's holding up perfectly. And yes they are pricey but well worth it.

Hired a builder to build a deck for a hot tub im having delivered in4 weeks and he said he would not warranty deck if he used these. So now I have to figure out how I'm going to send them back. Box is extremely heavy. Very expensive was hoping they would work but I have already hired builder and he has started ... show more

We used these for a 16' by 10' ground deck. Easy to maneuver, place, cover and use. They sit lower than the concrete blocks and are fraction of the weight. It has the versatility of using for 2 by joists, double joists, and 4 by posts. The largest case gives you 24 pieces so plan accordingly.
