I recently upgraded my A/V system to a 7.2 surround system. I quickly realized that the new system had 3 times as many banana plugs than I had on the old system. As I looked at how much cable I would need to run for the additional rear speakers, I discovered that one of my current surround speakers had a much smaller gauge wire than the reset of them. So to finish this project I decided that I would need several additional plugs and a moderate amount of cable as well. I was assuming that I would have to get all of this separately plus I really wanted to get gold plated plugs if they weren't too expensive. I found this kit almost immediately and it had exactly what I needed: a 100' roll of 14 gauge cable, 12 top quality gold plugs - enough to retire the old Radio Shank cheap plastic jacket plugs, The best thing was that the price was at least half of what I had found in a store. I placed my order and was notified within an hour that my kit was on it's way and in fact it arrived a day sooner than it was supposed to... that's awesome service guys!. OK this speaker wire is a game changer! I have been fighting the 'coil' my whole life. You buy speaker wire and when you unroll it from the reel, it's a corkscrew of cable. Stiff, stiff, stiff, and curly, curly, curly. Not this speaker wire! It comes off the reel straight as an arrow. Amazing! I love it! So easy to work with! Plus, their banana plugs rock also. I upgraded my Home Theater to Dolby Atmos . The new speakers needed two sets of wires. One for rear surround and the second pair for the top Atmos speakers. The 100 ft. 14 gauge wire with 12 Banana Plugs are high quality The wire is copper stranded with flexible insulation. It is color coded to help connect the + - polarity properly. The insulation strips away neatly without cutting the wire strands. The gold plated Banana Plugs were the best I ever used. The wire attached to the plugs easily and solidly. 14 gauge is an ideal size for speaker wiring. It is better than 16 gauge in power handling and has lower audio resistance. This product has very good material quality and workmanship. My issue is how to terminate the speaker wire to the plug. It is not intuitive and no directions are provided. For me this was a head scratcher but after some research, I found an exploded illustration of the plug which cleared up my confusion. ... show more

I really like this wire. I mean I get it it’s just wire. It the jacket on this stuff is really supple and there is no memory in the wire. It comes off the spool and lays flat. That’s a fantastic feature in this sort of thing. Highly recommend.

I use these on my 6ohm floorstanding speakers. They were first installed with my new Yamaha amplifier so don’t know how it would sound with 16 gauge.
