    • Magnetic isn't as big as picture misleads. Half the size when rubber cover removed.
They cannot handle the advertised the180 watts peak wattage prepair? Nor can they handle the RMS of 90 watts per pair. Yes they were inexpensive but the pictures and descriptions are very inaccurate. I've got 1998 2 door chey blazer these in the dash (replaced factory 1" tweeters) it's running a pair of Dual 6.5 " Dual single voice cone marine speakers in the doors and followed up with a pair of Dual 6"×9" in my back ways. Every since replacing my dash with these I've got to turn bass down, loud mode off and 15-20 max volume out of 40 max.before when running all the original AC-DELCO speakers I was able to enjoy full volume and half bass with loud on and treble around 5 (max of 7). They have this extremely thick rubber cover over the magnetic. When I removed the rubber to clean I saw a very low quality speaker. The cover made magnetic appear twice it's actual size. I've since put crossovers on them and run them for mid highs and highs no bass too them. Now wired that way I can at least turn up my stereo without totally fading it to the rear speakers to avoid distortion. Wouldn't recommend nor buy again. For what I paid I'm going run them util they blow or I break down and match all the speakers with a pair of 4"×6" Dual speakers. Very impressed with the quality of the Duals for the money spent on them. They sound nice clear and vibrate my mirrors without going phtttphtttphtt. ... show more

Good quality speakers. They come with everything needed for installation. I’m very happy with the fit and the sound. Even the screw holes were in the correct location. (there are several options) My application was a 1991 Chevy 1500 W/T.

I didn't actually use this for a car audio upgrade, but I can see where the enclosed adapters would be very useful as I have done this in the past. I used one of the pair to help resurrect a vintage Hallicrafters communications receiver from the late 1940's. I originally restored the radio back in 1986 and gave it to my cousin who ripped out the 4x6 speaker when he found one of the original factory speakers. Sadly he passed recently, and it is almost impossible to find a replacement 4x6. It fit perfectly in the lid and sounds as good as a speaker can sound when mated to an 80 year old piece of tube equipment. Two thumbs up! ... show more

Sound really good for cheap! Paired with a Boss 612UA in a KEI Truck. Definitely worth the money. They actually have a bit of bass too.

Blew the door speakers in my Kenworth t680, replaced them with cheapo's from Autozone, blew one of those a week later, so got these next. So far so good. Deeper bass response, as well as crisp highs. Hopefully they last a while, but for $27, can't complain too much.
