I should have paid more attention to the product pictures. One of the pictures does show the assembly instructions that show the actual bucket in two halves and need to be bolted together. Lesson learned. I smeared some high temp silicone (600f) in the seam before assembling as I would like all my buckets to hold water. Assembly was smooth they included a tool that had a philips screwdriver type end but I still needed a basic set of pliers to hold the nuts. 5 bolts 5 nuts for the bucket and One screw for the shovel. The lid fits snugly The brush has a nice feel and a good size for my firebox The shovel edge is straight. The shovel fits nicely in its holder and not so heavy to tip the bucket over. The paint looks even but I plan on painting over the word ASH. I dont know why it just triggers me ... show more

How is it possible to have to assemble a pail?!?! The holes didn't line up for the tiny screws and all it did was aggravate me. I even had to assemble the brush with a wood handle. Otherwise, it's a good size for wood stove ash. We'll see how it holds up in months to come.

Size: 3.5 Gallons
The bucket comes in two pieces and you have to put it together. Since it's two pieces, the ashes will get stuck in between the two pieces. The holes don't line up so it takes more effort. The lid doesn't sit on top. I do not recommend this product.
