I ordered this item to smooth out the transition from my vinyl plank living room floor to the sheet vinyl in my dining room. The color was amazingly accurate for my living room floor. This transition strip was easy to cut with scissors and installed just as easily. The adhesive seems strong, but I'll have to observe the strip over time to see if it remains functional and proves to be durable. This was a great find, though.

What's the old expression? Not the transition strip you wanted, but the transition strip you need. My flooring manufacturer seems to be out of business. Getting a new transition strip with an exact match wasn't happening. There were some laminate strips at HD that were close, but I was worried about putting them on the bathroom door area. This strip is a dark natural wood look. It comes tightly rolled and will benefit from some time flattening out before install. Also, both sides absolutely must be squeaky clean if you want any hope of it lasting a long time. Also, a little pressure, not tons, after installing to help it grip. Leave it on for a few minutes. It's the fancy 3M style double sticky, so it's replaceable if you mess it up.

I purchased this to cover the transition from the bathroom vinyl floor to the bedroom wood floor. It was easily cut to size with standard household shears and was simple to install. There were no instructions or floor prep wipes, but installation is fairly self-explanatory! The adhesive does not stick well to my freshly waxed wood floor but does to my vinyl. I should have used some kind of solvent to prep the wood floor. The color is nice and has multiple colors of gray in the wood grain look and, therefore, matches a lot of different floors! This is a perfect solution for me, and I will purchase it again and properly prep my wood floor before installation next time!

It has a very big flaw. The adhesive isn’t the best on this product which makes it pretty much useless unless you get your own adhesive, which is what I ended up doing.

Please ignore where I cut it a bit too short--that was obviously my fault (mismeasurement). This transition strip is a soft form of vinyl. It was really easy to cut--I used scissors. It looks pretty good and goes well with my laminate flooring. It works best if your flooring actually touches or comes very close. I had a "T" in my floor between the two types of flooring, and I filled that area with adhesive. That seemed to work pretty well. Since the vinyl is so soft, I have to wonder if it's going to hold up with the abuse a transition strip normally takes, but it looks way better than what it looked like before. I have hopes it will continue to look good. I don't know if the adhesive on the bottom is enough to keep it adhered to the floor, so I added some very strong adhesive just to be sure. It's unconventional, being a roll of vinyl strip, but once installed you can't tell that it's that type of material. It just looks like a normal transition strip. Be careful to keep it completely straight. I have a slight bend on mine near the right hand side (see picture) where I didn't get it completely straight. Time will tell if this holds up, but it's solid right now and looks good.
