Update July 2025: changing stars to 3 instead of 5 because after leaving this on my deck in the Sun for a week it’s almost completely deflated. —— This bodyboard is made of high quality materials that are a mix of fabric and vinyl. The handles are comfy to hold and big enough for adults too. The shape and size is great for kids like my elementary school aged nephew and for me, a middle-aged woman. The material really holds up and it has yet to tear. Just make sure you have the air valve pushed all the way in or else you get some drag. This isn’t as slippery as an inter tube would be, so I suggest using some dish soap to help it fly when using on a slip-n-slide or down a wet, grassy hill. Also great for wave pools. Definitely a fun addition to my menagerie of summer adventure items for my nephew.

This body board definitely gives a good first impression! I'm particularly impressed with its apparent strength and how well it seems to hold air. It feels sturdy and well-made, which is a huge plus. However, the true measure of its quality will be this summer when it faces the ultimate test: rambunctious kids putting it through its paces with all their slipping and sliding. I'm optimistic based on what I've seen so far, but I'll be keeping a close eye on how it holds up to the rigors of extended use and enthusiastic play. Fingers crossed it can handle the summer onslaught! I'll update my review then with a final verdict.

The media could not be loaded. Super impressed by the strength of this. It is NOT plastic. It's some kind of strong canvas material all around. Soft when blown up and firm at the same time. Holds air well. The handles are stitched into the board. It's decorative. Not big enough for adults. This would only fit a child of up to probably 10 or 11 years old because of the length. My son is 9 years old and 52 inches high (had him measured for Disneyland) and I don't see him going another 2 years on it.

This bodyboard appears to be made from a rubberized fabric material, so I had high hopes for durability. The handles are stitched on, but the seams are heat-sealed like a typical vinyl inflatable and there are two leaks at the seam along the back edge. I thought it would be a fun alternative to a snow tube for sledding, but the texture creates a lot of friction on snow. I will try to seal the leaks so the kids can try it for its intended use on a Slip-n-Slide next summer.

Not sure why other reviewers are raving about this? It’s kind of mediocre. I guess the fact that it’s vaguely made of some kind of Oxford cloth like material is a plus, but honestly it doesn’t really retain air that well? My 50lb nephew sat on it to go sledding and it went from being completely full to fairly deflated by the end of half an hour of sledding. Maybe it’s a quality control issue? The one I got at anyrate feels just ok, not amazing or anything. From a design POV it’s also not really amazing? It’s relatively flat all around, so no raised bumpers along the sides, which you’d think you’d want for a summer slider as well considering how fast you’d be zipping along and potentially running into bushes. Also for a 5 year old it’s super small, my 1 year old fits in it fine but he’s too small to sled on his own. I guess this is more for like 2 or 3 year olds? If you have a bigger 4 or 5 year old this will be pretty small for them.

This Inflatable Bodyboard is 1 chamber with a basic valve. The handles feel secure. The size is for petite adults or kids. It has a smooth bottom, basic shape and color design, and a thickness that may not last for several summers.

This inflatable bodyboard is made from very sturdy material. It is a very thick plastic. My kids are always sore have sliding all day on the slip and slide. They come in with bruised ribs. This inflatable bodyboard is great for the slip and slide. No more sore bodies! It’s also great for sliding down the stairs!

So as a generic inflatable object to play with in water it works just fine. In order to use on a slip and slide you have to have a slip and slide wide enough to support it. It also helps that it has a little soap or something on the bottom to help it glide more easily. This can save your kids if they are more sensitive or easily agitated by the friction of slip and slides or the use of soap while on the slip and slide.
