I have a 6.25-year-old aspiring gymnast who loves to tumble, but is also a bit timid with trying new things that put her feet above her head. Big jumps on the trampoline? No problem. Cartwheels? Took some convincing. Back arch into a walk-over and eventually a back handspring? No way... Or so I thought... Picked up this "Air Roller" because the kids have been loving the trampoline we set up, and we have some gymnastic mats set up in the basement for the cold months. I figured if nothing else this would be something they'd play with that would keep them physically active. Well, let me say right off that this is not really a "toy." When fully inflated, this thing is very, very hard. Granted, it's softer to land on than something truly solid, but this is nothing like a yoga ball or foam-filled roller. And it's big... bigger than you'd think. 23.6 inches just doesn't seem like it's that big of a diameter, but it really is, especially for a 6-year-old. Heck, it was a challenge for my nearly-10-year-old to arch over it at first. But they both took it out to the trampoline day after day, and I listened as they laughed and encouraged each other until finally they were both arching over it and kicking their legs over in a very slow but very awesome beginning of a back walkover. They haven't quite mastered pushing up off the ground with their hands yet, but it's definitely progress and they're having a blast! Now as far as durability goes, for being an inflatable item this thing is built solid. The air valve seals tight but the the kit comes with extra valves as well as a replacement seal/gasket/whatever in case this thing blows out. Given the light-intensity of the use my kids are putting it through, I don't see that happening anytime soon, but I appreciate that they provide the parts. They also provide the electric pump for filling it. And this is possibly my only gripe with the product. The pump itself is great and very powerful for being as small as it is. It fills the air roller easily. The issue I have is that it uses a proprietary connection to lock into both the pump and the air roller. So if the pump breaks, we're out of luck. And if the connection gets lost, we're out of luck. I just hate having to have single-purpose things like this that take up storage space in addition to all the other inflation devices I already have. Anyhow, it's a small gripe but it's worth mentioning. Price-wise, I initially thought this was a touch pricey as it was $59.99 when I ordered it. However, given the high-quality of this thing I actually think it's easily worth that price. Yet even as I write this, I see it's now being offered with a $10-off coupon, so if you can get it for less than the $59.99 price then that's even better and I say go for it if you have little ones who will similarly benefit from it!

The media could not be loaded. We are OBSESSED with this bright aqua inflatable gymnastics air roller! From the moment it arrived, it’s been a total game-changer for my 10-year-old daughter — and honestly, even I’ve taken a turn on it (hello, back stretches!). Right out of the box, I was impressed with the size and quality. The material is super thick, durable, and clearly well-made — nothing flimsy or cheap about it. It came with a really nice pump, and the whole thing was fully inflated and ready to use in under 2 minutes. So easy. No wrestling or guesswork involved. One of the BEST parts? It deflates quickly and stores away flat, which is a huge plus compared to those bulky foam rollers that eat up garage or playroom space. We just roll it up and tuck it in the closet when not in use! My daughter is working on her back handspring, and this roller has seriously boosted her confidence. Well, I'm not even sure where to start with this barrel air roller. I would have SWORN that I picked the barrel and mat set, but apparently I only picked the barrel. However, I did receive only the instructions for the air mat--so maybe that's useful? I actually found that quite frustrating. You get the inflatable, a set of instructions (maybe the right ones? Maybe the wrong ones?), an air pump, and a storage bag. It was somewhat intuitive to blow up the barrel, but I still don't know what some of the extra things are for and it was annoying to close the valve without any air leaking out and making the barrel too squishy. I will say it inflated and deflated FAST--that's a plus! I think this barrel size is too small for my 8 year old to truly practice her front and back walkovers. So I'm not really sure how useful it is to us right now.

I imagined this bouncing barrel would be too large for my 13 by 26 ft room and that I would need to use it outdoors or in a gym. But I was mistaken the size is nearly perfect for indoors in a 2000 sq.ft. foot house or smaller house with large common rooms. The plastic is thick and the welds are about 3/4 inch wide. Leaks at the seams are unlikely still it is a good idea to inspect the seams and all else at each use. You will need enough space for your child to lay next to it full length on all sides as a minimum. But this smallest version is fun and safe with the room made ready by taking all the furniture to one side. The inflation time is smaller than the room prep time unless you have a prepared room or space for gyming around. This is a no brainer for massive fun and entertaining balance training. It is possible to walk on top of it and roll it if you have the space. Not a trampoline but close.

This is such a fun roller, like a giant yoga ball, but you won’t roll off sideways. When used with a mat it’s great for kids too! It inflated very quickly and the material feels thick and strong.
