I had pretty low expectations when I bought this basket to use as a dog toy basket because of the price($22 for tan/white at time of review). I was pleasantly surprised with the quality, size, and look; so much so that I bought a second to hold couch throw pillows while we watched TV. For reference, the basket in photo #2 has 7 pillows shoved in it of various sizes, mostly 18x18 square and a couple smaller rectangular. I am so tired of typical laundry baskets hit my door frames, one because I am very clumsy, but two they are just so bulky and if you have a huge load of laundry and you cant exactly see over the pile, you end up banging into the door frame which instantly puts me in a foul mood on top of having to do laundry. This seemed like a fantastic exchange, out with the old hard plastic baskets, in with the a sturdy, flexible, easy to maneuver basket. I absolutely love this basket, I really want to replace all my laundry baskets with these kind of baskets. They can hold a whole lot of laundry, you can hold on to the handles with ease without cutting off circulation, they are soft enough that you can maneuver through the door ways even if you were to hit the door frame you are not jolted to your senses from impact you just breeze on by. I am so happy with it. the reason for the 4 star instead of 5 is I have had this basket for a few months now and I cannot get it to keep its shape, when it is shipped to you it is tucked down into a plastic package so when you first take it out you kind of have to force its shape or else it will collapse unto itself. I have kept blankets in it to kind of hold its shape, I have of course had laundry in it to hopefully help it unfold and loosen a bit but to no avail, it keeps collapsing into itself which is annoying because if you have husband like mine, you just throw clothes on top of it, not in it so then it becomes flattened again. I would think after some time it would loosen and take shape but it still collapse so I have to fight to keep the opening open to throw laundry in. I purchased this to put many Christmas gifts in. I left the basket for the family to use as they see fit. It is very large so it can hold several blankets to keep hand by the couch, a ton of toys, a dirty clothes basket, and many other uses. The weave is tight and the construction is good.
