These cat food servings are in a size like to go apple sauce containers, easy to open and a good portion size for a cat. Our cats really like these! So far they’ve been snacking on the chicken ones that literally look like just shredded chicken and broth. Do keep them in the fridge if your cat doesn’t finish them, after only a couple of hours the cats had left behind maybe a bite in the bowl and it began to smell badly really quick. When opened it didn’t smell bad at all so it does deteriorate quickly. I’m not used to that quick usually I give them about 4 hours then I dispose of anything left. ... show more

My cats thought these were delicious. They cleaned the bowl and seemed to appreciate something new. I thought there was more sauce/liquid than pictured. It was a little runny with less solids. The cats didn’t seem to care, so that’s a win!

My cats can be picky eaters sometimes. They definitely did not have any problems eating this. They devour it every time. All I have to do is pick up the package and they come running. These are great little side foods as snacks or as a topper for a regular meal. This Dashi Delight had chunks of chicken in a broth, so both of my cats lapped up the broth first, and then finished off the chicken bits. Alot of time they will eat one but not the other. I am happy that they liked this because it is the perfect snack that is packed with natural ingredients, high in protein, and the broth gives an added hydration to the mix. ... show more

Dashi Delights gets two paws up from my tabby cat. She isn't a super finicky eater, but she will walk away from food unless she likes it or is really hungry. I ordered her the chicken variety pack and she likes all three flavors. Regular chicken is her favorite. Chicken and cheese is her least favorite -- she leaves most of the cheese bits behind. She definitely prefers it straight out of the container. I tried putting it on her kibble to see if that would make her eat more of her kibble (instead of begging for wet food). That was not so popular with her. She ate all the shreddy bits but none of the soggy kibble. She much prefers just a blob of Dashi Delights in a separate dish. She then ate all the shreddy bits and the broth. One small drawback is that it says to feed to your cat as a "side dish" or compliment to its meal. But it doesn't say how much is a side dish or compliment. Does that mean a teaspoon? Half a little tub? An entire container? I have been giving mine about one rounded tablespoon, once a day. She's a nine-pound tabby. She certainly eats that much and still eats her kibble. ... show more

The food is mostly liquid weight with shredded meat in it. My cat has a sensitive stomach and the food has not caused an issue yet. They shipped mine in a padded envelope and the box was smashed open and the food containers were spilled out loose in the envelope. None of the containers were leaking or damaged. It does not smell bad to me. I rated the taste 5 stars. No, I did not taste it myself, but my cat seemed to begging for it all day and happy after having some to eat. I do not feed my cat the whole cup as it is nearly 2 buck for one. She only gets a small spoon full when she begs. Will update if there is any issues. ... show more

Cats can be a little picky about new foods/treats. They are not the least bit picky about this one. These single serve meals have received 4 out of 4 paws reviews from all four of our house panthers, and 2 out of 3 neighborhood ferals. The 3rd feral was not available for testing (she was sunning on a neighbor's patio), but we're pretty sure she would love these. As one can see, we had a tough time emptying the container and once we were allowed to empty the food onto the dish, a little (no growl) push/push battle started. So, we give this a full 5 stars. It may be a bit expensive for feeding several cats, but it is definitely a fantastic special treat that will be very appreciated by the cats in your life. ... show more
