That's a tenth of the calories of traditional dry cat treats and more than 10 times the moisture (8% vs. 91% moisture). I found out about this product when I was at my vet’s office, and they used this as a distraction to give my cat shots. She couldn’t lap this up fast enough! I never used to give my cats treats, until my one cat was diagnosed with congestive heart failure, and she has many pills to take twice a day. She hates the pill part, but when I ask her if she wants her treat, she sees this in my hand and comes running, full well knowing that she is also getting pills. I give her some of this so that she has some moisture in her mouth when she swallows her pills, plop them in her mouth, and apparently I can never squeeze the product out fast enough for her. All of my cats who see it in my hand dart over, and lick it up insanely fast. Sometimes if my cats don’t like a certain kind of food I give them, I’ll put this on top, and they wolf their food down. It doesn’t matter what flavor they have. They never get sick of it. They have a variety of flavors too! It’s basically like a gravy that comes out of the tube, and I think it’s neat that since they don’t have to chew it, the tube is gone in seconds!
