Interesting installation due to how this logistically works when you install it in a wall but for my purposes it's just fine. I have a networking closet in my house that I wanted on the same backup circuit as my garage. Using this along with some other electrical parts, I was able to run a line from the solar and generator panel over to this outlet then feed this outlet all the way over to the house and into the networking closet. Now instead of plugging into the home circuit I can leave the networking closet on this sub outlet that is always on backup power so it will never get disrupted and will keep my networking stuff powered up. Also nice that it has the cable hide passthrough so I can run my cat5 and coax through it as well more cleanly. Makes for a nice clean setup.

I wanted to tidy the cords up begging my tv and was going to install a hard wired outlet there but quite often I have to pull the tv cord out to get it to reset when one of the apps gets confused... because this is just an extension cord I can still easily unplug power to it and reset the tv. The quality of the outlet boxes is comparable to name brand ones and it's easy to install if you've ever installed regular outlet boxes.

I used this to hide the pesky cables hanging from my TV. If I would have know it was this easy, I would have done it a long time ago. This makes it so easy to hide cables without having to hire someone. I know it may seem scary cutting into your walls, but follow the template and you won't have any issues.
