I used to street skate a lot 30 years ago in NYC on my Rollerblade Twisters so was looking for something similar for the local rink, now that I'm a lot more prone to injury and risk-averse. My feet are also wider (never went back to normal after that third pregnancy, LOL) and I've had a lot of trouble trying to find skates that are agile while not killing my feet. Wore these two nights ago and LOVED them! Comfortable; not too fast (am not interested in long-range fitness skating---just a little roller disco to good music on a Friday night, ya know?). Would give an extra star for style if I could, although that's not the reason I bought 'em. ... show more

I had the rollerblade barbie growing up so I was really excited to purchase these for the nostalgia alone but they are comfy and made well. I would size down they are a tad big (I have skinny feet) but fuzzy/thick socks help!

I have owned many, many skates, parents did too, and I’ve only owned one pair that sucked— I’m so happy it wasn’t the Impala brand! I absolutely love this company’s skates; these will be my third pair from them actually! They are easy to wear, skate in, and look really adorable— they were not kidding about the vintage revival style as I’ve found (and know of) the original versions of the skates that inspired their designs so kudos for the look! The price may seem hefty, and in a way I suppose it is, but you are getting very good skates that will last you. I’ve taken a number of falls in my first pair by them during tricks and what not (first pair were the Black/Fluoro) and they barely scuffed. I mean, after having them 2yrs they still look new. Second pair (white) also lovely and true to what was advertised. Now I’m on the third and wanted the pink really really badly. I loved the pastel look that was advertised and went for it, unfortunately, my skates don’t look like the photos... they are not pastel they are salmon pink and the wheels are more of a fleshy color... I want to love them, but I’m so thrown off from the color I’m not sure what to do! I also found various flaws, and though they may seem minor, in my opinion, are unacceptable as they have chips and dark scuffs, almost as if someone roughly tried them on prior to sale. So, overall, Impala makes amazing skates, fabulous retro look, and wear nice, most skates are accurate, but for some odd reason my pink ones are not.... still, I wouldn’t write this company off and I look forward to continuing my business. UPDATE: ordered a size 8 white for family and they arrived covered in rust... very disappointed and strange for them to send me a used product like that.... not $140 ... show more

These are extremely tight and causing feet to cramp in just minutes. Im a large and average wide size 8 shoe with a high arch, I could break the 8’s in but I may need to just exchange for 9’s.
