This product was perfect for attaching the base of an outdoor light fixture to it. It is made from sturdy plastic. There are many pre-drilled holes which gives you lots of options for screw placement. Has a notch cut out at the bottom for water drainage. The included NM cable connector holds Romex cable tight. Bought an outdoor floodlight security camera and needed to mount it on a flat siding. The security camera assumed some kind of internal electrical box, maybe replacing an existing light fixture, which I didn't have as this was on a wall with no light fixture to replace. Hence the job needed some wire routing, and a hole made, so I hired an electrician to do that. The electrician had no issues using this kit to install the floodlight and provide the electrical box for the internal wiring, and after some quick caulking around the edges it was done and looked great! I didn't paint it since the white color matched the housing of the camera. But clearly, it's quite paintable to match whatever color is needed. Highly recommended! 5/5 ... show more
