  • My grandson (8yrs) loved it.
Style: Combo: USA & World
Fun and educational. Well made, and the puzzle pieces were soft and well made.

  • Grandson loves it
Style: World with Capitals
This is a great way for a child (or adult) to learn the countries, their capitals and flags. My 8 year old grandson has spent hours working on this on a rainy day. He was so pleased that he knows more than Grammy because I am embarrassed to say I wasn’t sure where some countries were located! A wonderful gift and highly recommend ... show more

  • Cool, but what's up with Africa and small countries?
Style: Combo: USA & World
I haven't tested these maps yet on my seven-year-old stepkids, but they will be surefire winners. The foam pieces are soft and brightly colored, the flags are fun, and it's a puzzle. I think overall it is very educational, and heck, I like it (because I always seem to forget that the capital of South Dakota is Pierre). My stepkids are really curious about the rest of the world and I'm excited for them to use it. Since I think it overall will still strongly enrich their education, I'm still giving four stars, but here are the things the prospective buyer might want to know. My main issue is with the way Africa was treated on this map. I feel like Africa was an afterthought. There are a lot of capitals missing. I understand that on a world map made of foam, there are physical limitations to labeling and having slots to stick in capital flags, particularly for small countries. However, countries like Sudan, Libya, Ethiopia, Mali, the DRC are not small and do not have their own capital flags. There was plenty of room for little flag slots for Khartoum, Addis Ababa etc. African countries are just as important as any of the rest of the world's countries, so why did so much get overlooked? I'm going to make toothpick flags for those capital cities. I thought that maybe Africa was done poorly on the world map because they want to sell a separate Africa puzzle....Erm, Mapology does not sell one as far as I can tell from their website. One thing you all should know is that for very small countries close together, the maps have shaded areas marked as "countries are here." I understand that there are physical limitations due to the scale and the nature of foam and printing, but I thought they would at least list the countries there, or include a paper map with the information sheets provided. There aren't any. So if you're looking for countries like Montenegro, Suriname or The Gambia you'll be out of luck. I guess I'll break out my Sharpies and sketch in or write what should be there. Again, overall this will be great for my stepkids because they know so little, and it's good for me personally. I still think it is worth buying. Just take the matters I mentioned above into consideration. I for one am purchasing a separate Africa puzzle from another company. ... show more

  • Great Puzzle One Flaw
Style: Combo: USA & World
Our 7 yr old son asked me to purchase this for him after having it in his classroom at school. He plays with this puzzle almost daily and loves talking about their capitols and flags and wanting to visit some of the places. We did however find one flaw which isn’t a big deal but we noticed that in Europe Finland was missing from the main map but present in the zoomed in version. I posted photos to show. Besides this flaw is highly recommend getting this puzzle! Our kids geography skills have improved drastically! He even wants to visit a to visit a lot of these places now! ... show more

  • Flags of the World
Style: World with Capitals
We bought this for our Olympic opening ceremonies watch party. The kids (and me) enjoyed locating the flags and countries as they can on TV. As a way to learn the flags of the world and country capitals, this is a great map.

  • Unsteady base
Style: USA Map with Capitals
The concept of this puzzle is very nice BUT the delivery is not so. Its foam based and without support the actual sturdiness leaves a lot to be desired. The puzzle has a thin card box cover to put the puzzle in to transport around the house! However it is not sturdy and if you attempt to move the foam out of the box it crumples to pieces. This is very disturbing bc you can’t really move this around to be viewed by different people! It was most frustrating for my grandkids bc they like to show off their puzzle and to use it to quiz the rest of the family. Hard to do when u risk demolishing the puzzle when moving it around. A sturdy base would have been so much better. Just a little tweak would absolutely make this so much better! ... show more

  • My son loved it!
Style: Combo: USA & World
I purchased the world + US. My 3yr old son loved it. He enjoyed more to stick the flags than the puzzle itself. I wish I could buy the missing flags. He knew all of them as he put them on. Kept him busy all day. Hoping he will learn the US States with this as well.
