EDIT: if your shaker stops working, here is the steps how to fix it Uninstall the app “SmartShaker3”. Remove the pairing record of “SmartShaker3” under the Bluetooth menu of your phone. (Go into your phone settings and into the Bluetooth settings and look for smartshaker 3 and unpair it.) Install the app “SmartShaker3”. Slide the switch to on position on the SmartShaker 3 device. Press and hold the snooze button for 10 seconds until there is a one time vibration. Open the app and click “Next” till the Searching page. The searching can take up to 3 minutes to finish. Then it should pick up your smartshaker, pair it and then all should work again. I think it more has to do with your phone that gets updated by your phone manufacturer like Samsung or apple, etc that stuffs up the smartshaker so it just needs to be re-paired again as per the steps above. After I paired mine again, I tested the alarm by setting a time 2 min to go off and it worked. I noticed that it is on the same time as my time now that we're in daylight savings, in Australia but when not in daylight savings mode in our country, they shaker app time is a hour ahead of the actual time so to set your alarm one hour ahead of actual time you want to wake up. ----- I love this product itself. It is brilliant, very strong vibration it actually wakes you so it works very well! The only gripe I have is the app on the phone, the app is rubbish and the app developers need to be made aware of this, so manufacturers I hope you see this and let the app developers know their app is not good - issues with app are *no dates, only days *no choice to choose your own timezone in Australia, instead they have this DST for Australia which means the alarm goes off one hour earlier, not good! So if you want to get up at 7.30 am, then set the time for 8.30 am! Pretty stupid! So the app needs a huge overhaul! ... show more

I am hard of hearing and can't hear my iPhone ring when I take my hearing aids out. I rarely need something that I can rely on to wake me up if someone calls but I had a need, needed it quick, found this on Amazon and pulled the trigger. I actually had one of these from about 5 years ago. I found it and plugged it in, charged it up but it is dead. I considered another brand because of this but Li ion batteries don't last forever, especially if they're used. The iLuv is less expensive than the other brand I found so I decided to give them another chance. As someone else wrote in another review, this company seems to have been continually improving this product. It shows. The shaker comes neatly packed in a box with nice, easy to read instructions. All I had to do is charge it a bit, turn on my iPhone and it paired with the app and bluetooth seamlessly. From there it is as easy as opening the app and either scheduling an alarm or just letting it do it's magic. This thing actually and incredibly works for everything I need, which is, in order of importance, phone calls, Teams calls (most people these days work for companies where coworkers insist on calling you via Teams and not just your mobile number), and text. With the adjustable vibration setting I turned it all the way up and I am confident I won't miss someone trying to reach me. It is hard to overstate what a huge thing it is to trust a little device like this. The last time I needed this I stayed up all night waiting for a call that never came (that's the deal for me unfortunately, I won't know if I'm needed unless / until someone calls me). I am getting too old to do that and a sleepless night makes me a very unhappy camper. My night still won't be fun but the rest I can get placing my trust is some of the best money I've ever spent. If you are in a similar situation and either a heavy sleeper, deaf / hard of hearing or just want something to give you a jolt if someone is trying to reach you this thing does the job. Update: I finally heard from the company. It was still under warranty so they sent me a new one. They also gave me a label to send the old one back to them so they can examine it. The new one is working great and. I love it. Fingers crossed. I initially loved this alarm. Shaker worked very well and got me up. However, it stopped working yesterday. I thought at first it was cause the battery was low. So I charged it up. When I went to turn it on last night I noticed it didn’t shake. I tried everything that was suggested, at first the Bluetooth light appeared and it looked like it connected but when I tried to test the vibration nothing happened. So I did a hard reset of the alarm and no blue lights only white. I thought maybe it was the app so I uninstalled it and reinstalled it and still no connection. I went to the iLuv website and saw a 1 yr warranty which is good cause I have only had it for 4 months. But trying to fill out a claim is IMPOSSIBLE on mobile devices I tried my phone and chrome book. for device you have to enter the model number and you can’t do it manually you have to select from a very, very long drop down list. And if you select the wrong one it won’t let you change it and you have to start all over again. I gave up and was going to call them, but their hours are 8-5 est. so that doesn’t help. So it stopped working and the website and customer service is not available. ... show more
