Update: I finally heard from the company. It was still under warranty so they sent me a new one. They also gave me a label to send the old one back to them so they can examine it. The new one is working great and. I love it. Fingers crossed. I initially loved this alarm. Shaker worked very well and got me up. However, it stopped working yesterday. I thought at first it was cause the battery was low. So I charged it up. When I went to turn it on last night I noticed it didn’t shake. I tried everything that was suggested, at first the Bluetooth light appeared and it looked like it connected but when I tried to test the vibration nothing happened. So I did a hard reset of the alarm and no blue lights only white. I thought maybe it was the app so I uninstalled it and reinstalled it and still no connection. I went to the iLuv website and saw a 1 yr warranty which is good cause I have only had it for 4 months. But trying to fill out a claim is IMPOSSIBLE on mobile devices I tried my phone and chrome book. for device you have to enter the model number and you can’t do it manually you have to select from a very, very long drop down list. And if you select the wrong one it won’t let you change it and you have to start all over again. I gave up and was going to call them, but their hours are 8-5 est. so that doesn’t help. So it stopped working and the website and customer service is not available. ... show more

I like it so far for the most part. It’s definitely way over priced currently $60 for this? But it was the only one I could find on here that was just the bed shaker itself and not one attached to an alarm clock because the problem is I have multiple alarm clocks I just end up turning them off in my sleep. I don’t know how but I usually go throw 3 alarms before I actually wake up and I don’t remember at all shutting the alarms off. The level 5 vibrations on this is strong and I’m hoping it’s enough to shock me awake. I haven’t got to fully test it out yet because both morning so far I haven’t been in a deep sleep and was already awake and forgot I had the alarm on but it did shake and go off. The only thing I didn’t like when I did that was as soon as you pick it up the shaking stops. So I will have to wait for a day I sleep in to tell if it truly gets me up but if it goes off that fast when it’s moved or picked up I might still be able to shut it off in my sleep. Also I don’t like the snooze button on this I wish it was only on my phone that I can’t get into the app without getting into my actual phone that I don’t think I can do in my sleep. The on off button seems very easy to accidentally turn off without realizing since it sticks out so far. Overall I would say it’s definitely not worth $60 it’s need some major improvements but if it works and gets me up I’ll get it for now until I find something better ... show more

So much more reliable than my cacophony of alarms from phone and alarm clock. And it somehow doesn't feel as jarring on my senses. My old one went through the wash cycle by accident so bought a new one. My only gripe is the new one is a bit thicker than it used to be. Probably a good thing so I'm less likely to accidentally put it through the wash. Other gripe is that it's kinda expensive for what it is. I'd think two thirds or half the price would be much more compelling towards being a good value. ... show more

I'm very pleased. The iPhone interface works fine and the vibration is strong enough to wake me. I needed a vibrating alarm, because at night without my cochlear implant electronics, I can't hear at all. I was concerned that my memory foam mattress would damp out the vibration, but the shaker was plenty strong from beneath the mattress. Since the mattress is heavy, I decided not to put the shaker under the mattress, but instead to wedge the shaker between the mattress and headboard, and that worked fine, too. ... show more

I work overnight and sleep during the day. It’s loud in the house so I wear ear plugs. This alarm clock makes sure I wake up. USB C is nice and the battery life is long lasting. You can toggle the phone and message notifications off via the app. Bit pricey but I’m getting my money’s worth.

I was in despair before I ordered the Smart Shaker 3; I have very serious hearing loss, use a CPAP machine, and I seem to need about 9 hours of sleep a night. I was sleeping through all the alarms on my phone, even when I was holding it to feel the vibrations. Alarm clocks have to be set to ear-damaging decibels to make a dent in my sleep time, and that wakes me up with an adrenaline rush and a pounding heart. Not a good way to start the day. The Smart Shaker 3 is extremely easy to set up and I had high hopes that I’d found a solution. It allows me to set multiple alarms and set snooze intervals. I can also indicate which day or days of the week I want that particular alarm to go. I chose the vibration level, and also decided not to get a quick vibration as a notification of a text or email. A benefit of this alarm is that, once it’s charged, it can go cordless for up to a week. I have a 3 day travel plan coming up—and I can take my wonderful alarm with me! (I should mention that the Smart Shaker 3 goes underneath the pillow. I didn’t feel it through the pillow until the alarm went off, nor did the vibration cause the alarm to move noticeably. In future, though, I think I’ll tuck it into my pillowcase just to make sure I don’t lose it!) I set alarms every 15 minutes starting at 8 am until noon; that’s what I’d been doing with my phone. This morning I woke up with the first alarm….and stayed awake! I am so impressed, and so grateful to have found the Smart Shaker 3. (I know I sound like a sales person but I was so worried about my 4 am-1 pm sleep “schedule”, and tired of failing efforts to fix it.) ... show more
