Fit a bit snug but from experience I know the foam etc will deform to my head. Some complained it is very light and fragile compared to others. It meets DOT specs, and nothing is absolutely crash proof, depends on the speed of the impact. When I was riding motorcycles (now 77, donated them to charity 3 years ago) I had a Bell built like a tank and they said if you crash and it is damaged/cracked, toss it. I can afford to toss 3+ of these for the price I paid for my last Bell decades ago. I got this for an electric all terrein electric scooter, I photograph birds as a hobby and will be on some iffy surfaces so even though California doesn't require a helmet my wife "asked" me to wear one. As an OR Nurse she saw more than a few motocycle riders with major injuries and since she is an expert with sharpe things, I'll wear a helmet. Besides my good buddy the Great Demon Murphy is whispering "Want me to show you why you need a helmet?" He did that for me once, I was turning into my own driveway and two kids on skate boards cut in front of me. Lay the bike down or run over them, I dropped the bike, good thing is was my off road beater and not my shiny new road bike. Slightly cheap material but fits pretty true to size. Plenty comfortable, lots of air vents, and no problems with the visors and task mask function. Very light weight and easy on the neck. Nice shine to the helmet and easy to buff off. Pretty happy overall for the price.

    • Great, Versatile Helmet for the price
I am happy I purchased this helmet. I purchased this helmet for riding my scooter which travels 30-50 mph. I read reviews saying the sunvisor broke, but it functions perfectly on mine (though the switch to raise/lower the visor is made of a cheap plastic). I could see how components could be damaged it it was manhandled or carelessly tossed on concrete, but a responsible person should have no issues with this helmet. Being able to raise the face is a definate plus for hot summer riding. It's a very sleek and lightweight. It blocks the wind well. The only problem I have run into is the clear visor fogging slightly in cold temperatures, but I don't believe this is the only visor prone to fogging in cold weather. This helmet fits all of my needs as a casual rider around town. It fits well on my head, though could be a touch more snug, but for the price and my needs it doesn't register as a concern. I'm a delivery driver on a scooter with a max speed around 4mph, so I wear the helmet a lot and don't go very fast. Firstly, a lot of reviewers seem to think that cheap helmets don't protect you. This helmet is DOT certified, so I'm confident it'll protect me to at least the minimum standards required by law, so I'm not worried about that. Would a more expensive helmet provide better protection? Possibly. Being modular, it is quite useful when I'm on a delivery and I can run inside the venue to pick up an order and I don't have to take off my helmet. I can just flip up the front and be able to talk just fine. I can also hear others talk just fine. I also got to pull the joke with my kids where I walked up to them, sputtered a bit, then popped up the front and declared "I can't breathe in this thing!" That, by itself, was worth the $50 I paid for the helmet. It looks good, and it's reasonably comfortable for the first hour or so that I wear it. It fights snugly and doesn't wiggle or anything, nor does it squeeze my head. The rest of this is going to be all the not-so-good things about this helmet. Before you read it, keep in mind that it's a $50 helmet and I gave it three stars. ;) The visor fogs in humid/cool conditions. Being in central Texas, this is an issue for me. My wife is going to buy me some antifog thing they sell at her work, so this problem should be fixed soon. After an hour or so, my forehead starts to ache because of how this helmet sits on my head and the relatively cheap padding inside. For a commuter, this shouldn't be a big issue, but for someone who wears the helmet for his entire work day, I'll be buying a pricier helmet when I can afford it. Also, oddly, there doesn't seem to be a way to secure the excess strap, so it hangs out and beats itself on the helmet in the wind. The main issue I have with this helmet is the air flow, or lack thereof. It has vents in the usual places, but they don't seem to take in much air at the speeds I ride. I spend a fair amount of time riding with the visor open because of this. Finally, and this is a little thing, it doesn't really let you wear headphones or a headset underneath it. I *have* ordered a bluetooth helmet set of speakers with a mic that should work fine. I didn't ding any points for this, either. But you won't be able to use your regular ol' ear buds or headset with it. I honestly don't know if that's unique to this helmet or if all helmets have this issue. All in all, I'm glad I purchased this helmet, and I would recommend it as a good starting helmet for anybody. It fits well, it looks good, and it protects my head to at least the minimum required to get the DOT certification. ... show more

I love the look of this helmet and I love the color adjusting the chin strap was a little difficult I can tell that this is lighter then a normal helmet but still tough I love the sunshade built in so I don’t have to wear sunglasses when riding it fits nice and snug like it should it comfortable To wear I only have test fitted it. And was just trying it on and it was so comfortable that I didn’t realize I was wearing it for 30mins before taking it off I love it can’t wait to get on the road with this on it was a good buy for the price ... show more

awesome helmet, nice finish ,light weight,love the drop down shade. the quick latch for the chin strap works great. was skeptical about the size because the helmet i had been wearing was a large and it was tight.The measurements in the ad for me was a medium so i went with what they said and the fitment was spot on. the padding in the helmet is really soft and very comfy. i am very pleased with my purchase. $63.00 delivered to your door,you cant go wrong. the button to raise the chin guard up is a little stiff , but i think that will get better with use. everything is easy to use even with gloves. very little wind noise when it is all closed up. I cant believe i got one of these helmets for that price,i was expecting to pay at least $150.00 for a helmet of this design and quality. hope this helps with your choice of purchase. ... show more
