    • Good shelves but much more expensive than on actual Ikea site
I've had kallax bookshelves from Ikea for years and they are pretty sturdy and versatile. That said, it's way more inexpensive on Ikea's website than amazon.com. Unfortunately, Ikea seems not deliver to certain locations so some of us are relegated to paying exorbitant amounts (2-4x the original price) of money. Had same issue with table legs for a table that cost only $26- the legs here were twice the price of the actual table on ikea's site. That said, glad I got these shelving units which are roomy - can use 13" storage bins as drawers to store things or as book shelves etc. Easy to assemble - took me less than 1 hour to put together though it's heavy and helpful with 2 people (though not impossible for 1 person to do). Definitely need a rubber mallet for putting together. ... show more

The price, the seller is ripping people off. The system is now called Kallax and Ikea carries it for less than a third of the price.
