I'd been waiting for three months to get one of these at IKEA near me. I guess they are stuck in a container in the harbor with everything else. They are never in stock and when the are they are gone before I can get there. I finally decided it was worth spending a little more to get one delivered from Amazon. Same IKEA product, but I didn't have to drive an hour and sign ten million documents stating that I understood that it needed to be secured to the wall. It looks great and I'm glad I can finally put my books away.

I put this in a very narrow space in my kitchen and used it for cookbooks. It looks nice and I think it’s sturdy. The first one I ordered had to be returned as it arrived with the long sides broken in half. However, the refund and replacement were fast and easy. I gave it 3 stars because it is average quality and appearance. That’s what I expected for the price! It works well in my space, which was only 16” wide.

Just what I needed for extra closet storage. I needed a piece small in width, but taller in size for more storage. Bookcase is exactly as shown in photo. I went online to Ikea (it is only $44 there - but they will charge you $169 in shipping! - no thank you. I bought from Amazon instead.) I built the bookcase on my own in an hour (mindful to do it right so I took my time, maybe someone a bit handier could do it faster). It took a good 10 minutes struggling to get it out of the packaging box! There were no known shipping issues that I could find. It does weigh 47 lbs., so you will need help carrying to a location for set up. There were 2 minor imperfections which are hardly noticeable, and there was a missing screw to anchor the piece to the wall. Fortunately I had and extra screw, so no issue. I would purchase again, looks very clean and solid once constructed. There are 4 adjustable shelves that are very stable once in place. Serves it purposes and stores a lot of my clothes.

This bookcase fits between 2 larger ones that I purchased from the same seller. It is a perfect fit against my wall and I'm very pleased with the product. It was shipped in excellent packaging and arrived in perfect condition. I would definitely buy from this seller again in the future.

I got two of these book shelves to flank my new TV stand in a small wall space. One arrived broken on almost every piece and the hardware (screws etc) were all over the box and missing some. The other arrived with a few chips or scratches I could hide with what I was doing with them. They did allow me to return the broken one, they would not exchange they said I had to go online and order new one. So I did order a new one then got an email that my shipment had not been confirmed by the seller days after I ordered it (into the next week). Still haven't herd anymore. The book case was the size as described and fit the space so I would like another but this is a pain to get. It is the typical cheaper material you get from ikea, target, etc. And pricy for this material, but it's what I needed (and I had looked around).

I have many billy bookcases that I have purchased direct from ikea - product is strong. This shipper/company does not use sturdy shipping packaging and product has arrived broken in half 2 times. Considering they charge 4 times the amount ikea charges at their store It would be nice if they could spend a little on stronger boxes.

It is nothing like IKEA original same type bookshelf. It is flimsy cardboard sides supposed to hold some shelves. Even packaging doesn't hold. I am not sure if IKEA made this. Seller is slippery, not trustworthy. It has been about a month that I am trying t resolve issues with this order. Amazon is helpful, but the seller is not.

I bought this Ikea bookcase to have some shelves in my newly refinished kitchen. It replaces some shelves I had screwed to the walls and with the new walls I didn’t want to put holes in them right away for shelving. I am very glad I bought this Ikea unit. I have an identical one in my living room that has worked very well for books for five years. I was able to purchase that one directly from an Ikea store for under $100 because I was driving home from a vacation and passed the store. However that store I over 100 miles from home making it impractical to drive for another one. When I consider what I will have to pay for something, I consider the cost AND the value. Buying this unit delivered to my door for $200 was a perfect value. I knew it would come with all of the parts, clear instructions, and could assembled by myself with no help. I was however very concerned with the shipping wondering if it would arrive damaged because the box was big and very heavy. I soon saw that Fast Home Goods, the vendor had that all figured out. I arrived home from work one day and there it was right at my front door. But I became worried because the box was a little damaged. What I didn’t realize was that Fast Home Goods wrapped it in about four additional boxes to protect it. There was no damage to the unit. This extra boxing is likely why the additional price from Ikea. The $50 for shipping was because it was very heavy, probably 200 pounds! To have this great unit delivered to my door, hundreds of miles from the closest store was a GREAT value. It was very easy to assemble and is very sturdy. It will serve my purpose very well. If I need another piece of Ikea furniture, I will not hesitate buying it from Fast Home Good through Amazon. Also, I want to say that I have no connection with either Amazon or Fast Home Goods which are both the very best to work with.
