- Not for High-Z connection Unbalanced quarter inch to XLR male cable is not suitable for High-Z connection. Please do not use it connect guitar, bass, keyboard, electric drum, etc. Due to mismatch impedance issue, the XLR input device won't receive clear signal. This cable is suitable for connection between low-Z 1/4" jack and low-Z XLR jack.
- Specification This unbalanced 6.35mm to XLR male cable is 10 feet long. The wire is nylon braided, it's super strong and heavy duty. The cable is thick but will give a quality soft feeling. The core conductor is full covered with spiral OFC (free oxygen copper), under this OFC layer there is also aluminum foil layer. This two layter can protect the cable from the environmental interference. The 1/4" connector is gold plated design, it can reduce signal distortion.

They're cables! They work, and tested well. The braided sleeve is nice, and connectors are acceptable. They're exactly what you'd think they'd be, nothing more and nothing less. Great for some budget studio monitors.

I used these cables to come out of the sends on a snake to my headphone amplifier, a Presonus. Usually, this can be done with regular XLR cables, but I use the Presonus in my drum booth for its small size. These cables allowed me to bring the 1/4" feed into the booth elegantly without any adaptors. Working great. The cables come with lovely plastic covers on the end and a cloth cable, which looks great and certainly adds some durability.

These filled a need to connect a synth which only had a 1/4" output directly into a digital PA mixer. Mixer called for male XLR input, which was easier to program to various locations than the 1/4" inputs. As an adapter for any time one needs this combination, outside of my specific need - substantial feeling cords and connections, XLR has a plastic fitting, but feels strong enough to stand up with some careful use. Worked perfect, would buy again for this application.
