I liked these socks so well I wore one pair to try them out for size and how they wash. They fit well and wash good as they did not shrink and the colors did not fade. Very happy so I am giving the 4 remaining pairs to my sister as part of her Holiday gifts. Not sure if Thanksgiving remembrance or Christmas but they are nice enough to give as a gift. These fit the AVERAGE foot. I'm 5'1 130 and they slip on just fine. I offered a pair to my mom who is over weight with thick ankles. We understand she can't wear most socks with little stretch. So she passed up. These are warm and cozy. not the softest but NOT uncomfortable. Warm and cozy. The colors are my favorite and they make a great gift as they come in a cute blue box. I really think those who are complaining about the size have wide/long feet and thick ankles claiming to be average. I would suggest if you are looking for super soft and stretchy this isn't it. But colorful , warm and cozy for the average ankle and foot with average sensitivity(as people are saying they are soooo scratchy) it's a winner.
