These boots were comfortable right out of the box, great traction on every surface except for glare ice, obviously. Very well constructed, soft, supple leather. My mistake was not ordering up half to whole size to accommodate my heavy winter socks, so I have reordered. They are also very reasonably priced for the quality you get. Worth every penny! Recommend

I absolutely love these boots in the right environment. They remind me more of a dress boat, so if you were going to the movies in the cold or ice you could wear these. These are really beautiful looking boots, and I will be wearing these for casual/dressy occasions when a boot is appropriate. They look good with jeans and a polo, but as far as a serious hike with lots of snow, ice and water, I wouldn't dare take these out. They are very light and have great traction. They are water resistant not waterproof, so your feet may get wet. Again, these are great boots for the right endeavors, but you will be ill equipped if you take these into the back country. I highly recommend them for the right occasion.

Icebug's Larvik Walking Shoes are very nicely made with a soft leather suede and canvas upper. They look and feel high-quality, robust, and sturdy. I also find them to be simple and classically styled. They don't look overly bulky or outdoorsie. Speaking of not being overly bulky, indeed they are lightweight, flexible, and comfortable. I have worn them to walk may miles over pavement, gravel, grass, and dirt trails. They work great in all environments, breath nicely, support my feet well, have excellent grip, and nicely padded uppers. The laces tighten smoothly and don't loosen or untie easily. They fit me as expected and run true to size. I appreciate the company's commitment to environmentally conscious practices and causes. All in all... great shoes.

I really love the look of these boots. They look awesome in jeans, chinos or hiking shorts. They are some of the lightest leather boot's I've owned. They are comfortable too. My only complaints would be the wish for a little more width in the foot pad area and a half-size increase in length. So probably might want to order a half size up.
