I purchased these for a trip that involved a LOT of walking and these didn't disappoint. Super comfortable, no break in period. The sizing was a bit confusing and that's why I included a picture of my size. I usually wear a 7,5 in most of my sneakers, occasionally a size 8. My Eli are a USL (US Ladies size) 7,5 even though the label reads US 6. I believe the 6 refers to Men's size...? They are a perfect fit. Enough room for thinner socks. I usually wear no socks since I live in Florida. Important to me: they are machine washable, just take the insole out first. Overall, I'm very happy with my new shoes. Lightweight, breathable, the perfect summer shoe. I chose the light grey to match most outfits but will be ordering the Mustard color for funsies.

I seem to be collecting these Icebug Eli shoes, as I now have 5 different colors for everyday use. In additional, I recently bought two pairs to which I attached stick-on suede soles (I bought pre-glued suede sheets from Soles2Dance here on Amazon - highly recommend!) for some extra comfy Swing dancing. What can I say, I just love them. :) They are not narrow but not super wide either, i.e. not quite "foot shaped", but the upper material is soft enough that it will stretch a little to accommodate if you like me have feet that are on the slightly wider side. NOTE: The sizing translation between EU and US seems to be a little bit different for this shoe. I wear my normal size which is EU 40, which Icebug translates to L8.5 in US women sizing (or 7 for men) for the Eli RB9X. Normally my EU size 40 would correspond to a women's US 9 or 9.5, so just pay attention to the sizing quirks when ordering. They are lightweight and don't offer a lot of "stability" (which for me is a good thing), but they don't have a pure barefoot feel either. Neither do they feel extremely cushioned - I think it's a good middle ground where you can still feel the ground a bit. With time (and wear) the outsole will naturally compress somewhat and become less "springy", but I have still to completely wear out any of my pairs. I've heard that you can contact Icebug customer service to get replacement shoelaces or insoles if needed, but I haven't had to make use of that service myself yet so I can't tell how accurate that info is. In short, the Icebug Eli RB9X is a great shoe - and if you have really wide feet and want a similar shoe but slightly wider toe box (and don't mind tying your shoelaces or buying 3rd party elastic ones) you can also check out the fairly new Icebug Mosi RB9X model. They might be even more comfortable for walking purposes, but for now I think I prefer the look (and many color options) of the Eli. :)

Great fit on purchase, no break in period. Very comfortable with or without socks. They remind me a lot of ON Cloud shoes from a number of years ago. I feel like the quality of the ON shoes has declined recently, and I had returned a few pairs of those and decided to give these a shot after a trip to Sweden. Not only do they look and feel amazing, you can feel good about the fact that they are made of recycled and sustainable materials.

I wish I could return my oncloud shoes! Iceberg shoes are truly like walking on a cloud! I ordered two other colors. Wish I could get the magenta color but not available in my size. UPDATE-Ordered the olive color and needed to return..over 30 days ago and no refund!!!!!!!!! WHat the heck!

These shoes felt incredibly comfortable right out of the box with a first time wear. The sizing they use seems very accurate. There is plenty of cushion, right up there with some of my Sketchers shoes which are known for their cushioning. The main shoe is made from a breathable fabric and I felt the black ones I got looked fantastic. I might have gone with white laces instead of black but hey, to each their own. There is one drawback here but it is getting better over time. Right out of the box they had a strong smell. Best way I could describe it was like a large eraser. Like a strong rubber smell of the eraser. It's not like any shoe I have ever had before. I wonder if this might have something to do with the fact they they are using all recycled materials. Each I have had these, which has been about 3-4 days now, the smell is getting less and less. My hope that over time it will go away completely. My advice is to take the shoes out of the box and let them sit in the open air for several days before going out in public with this. I love what Icebug is doing here with these shoes by using to much recycled material including recycled fishing nets! So while that smell issue I mentioned before might deter you from buying, and keep in mind it's getting less and less, I would still recommend them because of their comfort, greta looks and their high use of recycled material. Sure they cost a premium but I'm sure that has a lot to do with the process of using recycled material. At least for me I don't mind paying a bit more buying from a Earth conscious company. I think everyone can agree we need more companies trying to do their part for the environment.!
