Ice Breaker is the best Marino money can buy. $90.00/$125.00 seems like a lot of money until you wear it several times a week, fall and winter and still pull it out for the 8th year and it's in good shape. It runs large. I can wear a small for a little closer fit but I by a medium and fold the hem of the sleeve up once. Don’t try and size up to allow for shrinkage. I would say it feels a bit "itchier" than smartwool when you first put it on, but the difference is minuscule and within two minutes you forget about it. The cut is good, sizing is spot on. Does well in washing machine on hand washing cycle in cold water. I always line dry them, never put them in dryer. Noticed no pilling or shrinking after several wear. It's lightweight and not bulky so I can put them on underneath my shirts without a problem. Sometimes I wear it as a shirt and it looks good. Plus it keeps you warm!! I would buy more if I continue traveling to colder places.
