These gloves work very well for what I wanted. A small pair I keep on handy for those mornings it’s just cold enough to make my fingers numb outside. But also a pair that could double as a ‘wicking’ liner glove inside of something thicker and sealed for long days of skiing or snowball fights. One thing I appreciated about them was the texture, I did not expect to like the grippy part on the hands, but it actually works well and looks fine. The fit and cut is fairly well, I have a little bit of extra fabric that bunches up at the tips of my fingers which is not fun, but doable. The concern always with wool items is the durability; I have noticed it is pilling quite a bit on my pointer finger and thumb but otherwise the material has really held up. I would like to offer some additional information that would have really helped me when I was searching which is that I bought these AND I bought the Smartwool Liner gloves which were like $25? The Smartwool ones are totally NOT WORTH IT. I would pick these gloves every day over the smartwool ones, the way those are sewn is literally as if they laid down two pieces of thicker merino fabric and cut out a 2D hand shape and sewed them together. These gloves from ice breaker actually take into account that your hands are 3D and require a proper shaping of fabric to feel comfortable. I wear these on a winter run, a cold morning driving my car, they are so handy 😉 to have on me! ... show more

I'm on my second pair of Icebreaker Merino wool gloves. They are perfect for those chilly mornings out for a walk, or keeping warm while your car heats up. The index finger allows for touch on mobile phone screens/tablets. The palm and finger grips give you a nice positive hold on to the steering wheel. These gloves work for me very well. I think I got about three years or so out of them before having to purchase a replacement due to wearing holes through the finger tips. Not bad for merino wool! ... show more

This is my 3rd pair of these gloves, I usually get two seasons out of each pair which for a Marino item is pretty good. They’re my go to for running and they get worn for several months per year. They’re the perfect weight for me, they keep my hands comfortable in the winter.

they will wear thin or out eventually. The more velcro, etc you deal with the more likely you are to rip them, but they are great. Just know you'll only get a season or two out of them depending on use.
