    • It really is from Spain. Make sure to read label correctly.
I ordered because Spanish oil is my favorite and I was curious to see if the complaints that oil was not from Spain were true or not. The bottle shows codes on bottom of label that will indicate oil could be from Spain, Greece, Italy, Argentina, etc., however when you look at the date and production codes for this bottle it is clearly marked only (S) after the Lot # indicating origin is from Spain only. As far as taste and quality goes, this is a robust flavorful oil with just a hint of funk. Oil is fresh so it's not a funk from age, just a normal olive funk that is pleasing and a bit interesting but not amazing. This is a good quality Spanish oil suitable for both raw and cooked use. Solid 4 out of 5 stars given the cost. Very good daily use oil. Purchased July 2023 and best by use date is Jan 2026 so if correct this is a good date. I will buy again. i did not find any bitter, harsh or acrid spiciness as described by several other reviewers who stated their oil was not solely from Spain. ... show more

I purchased this product based on the description that it was produced “exclusively” from groves in Spain. This is wrong. The bottle clearly states on the back that it was made from olives from multiple countries (they probably mix them all up in a vat so who knows what you get).     • THIS WAS FRAUD! IT'S VEGETABLE OIL! IT ALSO LEAVES A VERY SPICY TASTE IN YOUR THROAT!
This was a fraud oil, probably from China, with Spain label. I DEMAND a refund and I'm happy to return this! This was actually the worst fraud oil I've had. It leaves a very hot/spicy taste in your throat! I will leave reviews all over the internet if you don't take this back or refund me.
