I have been a bass player for 44 years. My playing style and interests are eclectic. I need versatility, neck fit and speed, low action, a light-weight instrument, and predictable electronics and, of course, ONE ZOOM pedal for ALL my effects. I have owned and still own several bass guitars. Beginning on a heavy Fender Precision 78', I steadily found and acquired lighter, faster, and numerous "better" basses since. "Better" is totally subjective. Anyway, I bought the Ibanez SR370E and the SR370EF, the latter being the fretless version. These basses are well built and meet all my criteria. Because the electronics are the same on both, switching between is simplified considerably. Both instruments arrived in perfect condition - I made minor bridge action adjustments to the fretless. They both hold their tune incredibly well day to day and I'm in a coastal environment - so lots of moisture in the air - humidity. I've always played at least 1 hour/day. Since acquiring these two basses, I play more like 2-3 hours/day. I only put them down when my muscles are exhausted. I highly recommend Ibanez basses - and specifically these two models. ... show more
