First of all, I have to say this bass is gorgeous. In the few days I have had it, I have received numerous compliments on how great it looks. It also plays great too! It has great tone and a nice full sound. There is a small amount of string buzz so I’ll have a tech look at it when i get a chance but it’s not noticeable unless you’re playing loudly. Add to that both 1/4” and XLR jacks, and a tuner and you have yourself an incredible value.     • Nice as a practice ax.
I’ve played a few acoustic basses in my time, and I have to say, this is the best one I’ve played. Right out of the box, the neck is straight, the intonation is good and the tuners work well. I’ve not played it plagued in but this bass is a great practice ax for players who need something to travel with and not carry a heavy amp. It has good tone and is very comfortable to play. I always wanted an acoustic bass, and with the winnings from my scratch off tickets, I now have one! Great body and snapping tone, especially when using a pick. Had to adjust the action a lil bit and haven't plugged into my Amp yet, but it can hold it's own as is!

    • Buyer Beware
There is a part on this bass called an "SST Preamp Face Plate" that will fail, and guitar shops will not repair it. You'll be on your own trying to find a replacement part, too. Schematics are pretty easy to find if you have a 3d printer. But then you'll still have to do the repair yourself. Oh, you don't have a 3d printer? Then you've probably just spent $400 for a load of kindling. The SST Preamp Face Plate is essentially what holds the preamp onto the guitar. It will break. It's made of cheap plastic that will become brittle in 2-3 years. Don't believe me? Search for it on your favorite search engine. You'll find dozens of people looking for ways to replace this part. Me? I just want to play. I'm not even a bass player I just have bass so I can add accompaniment to what I produce. I sometimes like to loop a bass line to play along to. Occasionally, I'll have a friend who wants to jam. I don't want to have to deal with such a silly issue on an instrument, but here we are. I'm probably going to list it on NextDoor for $50 just to get rid of it. ... show more

Other than packing for shipping could be better im super happy with this bass. Some of the finish was rubbed off the neck and head but it plays fantastic! Can't put it down. Sounds great amplified or not!

    • Nice practice bass
This really is a nice bass guitar. All the different woods used in the making give this bass a fantastic tone and the finish is absolutely beautiful. The bridge and nut are plastic and a few of the frets needed some filing. The truss rod also needed adjustment. Took it to my guys, they replaced the plastic nut and bridge with bone, did a little minor work on the frets and adjusted the truss rod. Made ALL the difference. 👍 I bought this for an "at home" practice bass and it's perfect. One could play this right out of the box but if you're a seasoned player, I recommend at least changing out the nut and bridge. I gave it 4 stars just because I put a few extra $$ in it. If you're a beginner or learning, you can't buy a better acoustic bass than this for the price. BTW.. It's made in China. Which I didn't notice in the description when I bought it. However it's all good.. ... show more
