I decided to get his bass because it is by Ibanez a company I trusted, and it is not made in China, it is inexpensive and with only one pickup allowing for more space to maneuver between the strings. After I bought it and started tuning it i found out that the frets on this guitar are not positioned at the correct distances so it is never possible to have it in tune. Out of the box it was poorly set up with buzz on couple strings and out of tune at the 12's fret. The bridge intonation adjustment range is very limiting and I would have to remove spring and move one or two bolts out a bit and making them stick out in order to have it set up, but in this case it is no use because of the main issue with frets. The sound is muddy and with some weird vibration I assume coming from the pickups or maybe it's the strings I am not sure. The high strings wont be clearly heard unless they are played separately by themselves. This is bad because it is limiting what I can play. So even though it is made in Indonesia this is a useless instrument even though it looks good. I am done with buying instruments online. Too much bad quality it is unbelievable. First off, it looks gorgeous. The body is not polished which makes it look rustic and the wood's color and pattern makes it look uniquely yours. The neck is not as dark as in the displayed picture but that's not a bad thing. The sound itself is great. I have the Yamaha trbx174 too and this sounds deeper, willowy and richer. The E string in particular sounds incredible, but that might have something to do with the humbucker pickup. The action is really low, which makes it easier for beginners. The body is small and the instrument is quite light, relatively. I wish this was the instrument I had started learning bass with. ... show more

The body has a warm, beautiful satin finish, and the materials, tuning pins, etc. are of excellent quality for the price. Great practice instrument that's easy and fun to play, with a clean, consistent sound quality throughout its entire range.
