  • Lovely bass
I love my bass. The coloring wasn't exactly as expected, but it's not a deal breaker. She's very pretty and sounds good. I am not a musician so I'm not sure how a musician would say it, but it resonates a lot. Also not a deal breaker. I just set it down easier so we don't hear the bass reverberating as badly. [Not amped] Scale is perfect for comfort and finger placement. It's a lovely bass especially for the money. It sounds good, looks good, and won't be such a loss if your flighty self decides bass isn't for you. The picture isn't straight out of the box. I've been playing with her for about a week, and I love her! ... show more

  • If you're looking for an honest bass, then this is the one for you!
I've been playing the bass guitar since I was 5 years old....that's 46 years of playing various basses. I currently own a number of other bass guitars in different vintages - Fender, Rickenbacker, Gibson, Roscoe etc., and each one has its' own unique "personality", sound and characteristics. This Ibanez is no different. If you play a lot of jazz music like me, then you'll appreciate the pure tones that come from this bass. And if you're into something, let's say "heavier", this bass can handle that as well, no problem! The frets feel good, the finish is absolutely beautiful, and there's nothing "loose" or poorly built anywhere! Whether you're an experienced bassist that's looking for another quality bass to add to your gear, or if you're just learning the bass and need a quality guitar that will last, then I highly recommend this one! ... show more

  • great bass for the money ... but
first off.. Its a great bass for the price. The sound is excellent. I love the color and the wood grain in it. Now what I didnt like... out of the box the action was HORRIBLE! The worst Ive ever seen! We are talking like 10mm on the E string at the 12th fret. I personally like mine at the most 3mm but thats what I consider high action. I prefer 2.5 or less. Not a big deal for anyone that knows how to adjust the action properly. Its at 2.5mm now and playing well no fret buzzing. The other thing that was off was the intonation. It was quite a bit sharp on every string. Bottom line I feel for this bass is a great sounding bass for the price, however if you have no experience making the adjustments I've described I would probably look elsewhere. A beginner would struggle trying to learn with the action at 10mm and with the intonation as far off as mine was it would sound out of tune at the lower frets. I dont want to talk too poorly about it because I love it and I have it playing well.... cant beat this for the $ ... show more

  • Couldn’t be happier with my purchase
I adore this bass. For some context, I am a professional producer and picked it up as a bass to write and practice on before I got a better one to track with in the studio. I love it so much that I never got a better one. It’s got great playability, sounds great, looks great, is durable and well built. Once you get a hold on the tone knobs, you can generate whatever tone you’re looking for. With a little compression and EQing, it sounds fantastic in recordings as well. I am shocked at the value. I would have paid more for it. Love it! ... show more

  • Great guitar
For the price I like the sound and feel of it. For someone looking for a less expensive bass with an expensive sound, this is it.

  • Great price, great sound and beautifully designed
I purchased the combo that was offered. The bass, amp and stand. It was a great price for someone starting out. It is beautiful! Only dislike is that my daughter said you have to press down on the strings really hard. Our older daughter has a different brand bass and noticed this too. I guess an easy fix would be to buy different strings. It’s not much of a problem for our daughter now for she is used to it. ... show more
