  • Great bass! Recommend.
It's a really beautiful bass, it's not as bright as in the description ,but it's still very beautiful. The strings are low and very comfortable to play. I really liked the fact that it came with a verification of test and adjustments. So it was ready to play, i actually played it on a church service, the same day i got it and it was awesome. I play 5 days a week, and practice with the band the other 2 days. So the fact that is light in weight, and that i don't need to press hard on the strings or pluck them to hard to get a really good sounds makes it perfect it for me and at a good prize. The sound is bright and the 3 pickups make it much better to mess around with the sound. I do recommend to get a cleaning cloth and cleaner for it. The finish of it makes finger prints very noticeable. I clean it everytime i play it. ... show more

  • Nice Bass but there are a few quality issues.
This bass is a little hard to review because overall its a good instrument and it's not very pricey but there was one major issue I had. So when I received my bass in the mail there were some issues with the set up. I don't want to fault the bass for this because there is no telling what it went through while it was shipping. But the string action was a bit high and the pickups were so high I was getting an annoying clacking sound while slapping. I also have so scratches from the strings on my pickups now. Set up was no big deal for me because I have the tools I needed to do it however, I had an issue while setting up my bass. My fretboard was bowed inwards and I detuned and adjusted the truss rod. While I was tuning back up I kept noticing my tuning was going flat so I checked the fretboard again. The fretboard went back to being bowed inward slightly and that was why I lost tension. So I attempted to straighten out the fretboard again. Long story short the head on the adjustment nut stripped out and now I can't adjust the neck. I know that this wasn't the most expensive instrument and the neck isn't so bad that I can't play on it but I do have to have the string action up higher to compensate for fret buzz on the high frets (closer to bridge). As I'm writing this I'm trying to keep in mind $250 is really cheap for a bass and the fretboard dimensions are really comfortable. The electronics seem to be draining 9V kinda quick and I'm not sure how to mitigate this. The documentation says that the electronics are passive but there is a signal boost knob which I am assuming is why a 9V is needed. I also learned that with out a 9V the signal is pretty pitiful. So I would say that the instrument is really comfortable to play on but you do get what you pay for in terms of quality of components. I would say this is probably a greater issue for someone more experienced but for a beginner this is a great instrument. ... show more

  • Nice bass!
This bass is for my son for middle school band. It was his first full size bass. My husband is a professional bass player. While my husband wouldn’t use this professionally, he still likes it a lot and has brought it as an emergency back up bass. My son loves and plays his bass daily. It takes a beating going to and from school and to school concerts and events. It is very durable and sounds good. He plays it everyday. We are very pleased with this bass and would buy another as our younger daughter will be wanting one soon. ... show more

  • Comparable to any $700 bass, terrific sound
Good sound quality, decent mid range pick ups. The only issue I've had was the setup. The pickup heights were uneven, the bridge was off on each string, and the neck was bowed just enough playing a open string rattled on the last fret. However it only took about 10 minutes and a screwdriver for all those problems to disappear and now I'm loving it. Absolutely competes with models worth$700 ... show more

  • Amazing Bass. Beautiful and all. Happy Husband.
My husband traveled the world, played in, along with being a stage tech for many bands, decades ago. He absolutely LOVES this Bass! I'd highly suggest getting this beautiful Bass.

  • Nice bass but....
I didn’t get the guitar shown in the photo. Same model but much darker sunburst finish. Otherwise, perfectly happy.

  • Keep your dough!
Craftsmanship was poor never got a chance to play it. Sent it back and got a beautiful Yamaha for an extra hundred.
